End Chapter 4 MRE App and Character Info

Jason Kelly

The protagonist of the story, Jason used to be more athletic, but hit a major growth spurt in high school which put a strain on his physicality and he’s only recently gotten back into regular workouts. He is now 6’8” tall, but a bit on the skinny side, still big enough to dwarf most people up close. He’s had very little luck when it comes to romance, and while he’s had a few flirty relationships, the one time he thought he had something good going online, it turned out to be a catfish scam. Despite his background in running, he’s also quite intelligent and creative, going to school to major in computer sciences and working at a tech company as a coder. But with a lack of assertiveness and self-esteem, he is somewhat underpaid, and underappreciated, and quite a few people in his life have learned they can take advantage of him if they are clever about it.

With the help of the MRE app, he’s starting to turn some of his relationships around, and might be able to turn the tables on some of those taking advantage of him too.

Jason’s middle sister is a little over two years younger than him, she has brown hair she usually keeps in a ponytail, and blue eyes, and generally likes to dress comfortable, with t-shirts and jeans or shorts, when she’s not in the medical scrubs she wears as a receptionist at a local clinic. She generally sleeps in oversized t-shirts borrowed from Jason and loose shorts.

Alex is supportive and encouraging regarding Jason’s work situation, and the possibility that he might need to look for a new job.

Jason called Alex out on her **** kink, and after a bit of tension and anxiety, they’ve begun to explore a tentative sexual relationship together with Chloe’s knowledge and blessing.

Jason’s best friend, now girlfriend, Chloe grew up just down the street from the Kelly family, and since she was in the same grade as Jason despite being a little older, they became fast friends. She is also part of his gaming group.

Chloe is from the Navajo tribe, but has lived in southern California her entire life. She has black eyes and generally wears her long black hair in a braid that reaches almost to her knees. When it’s loose it brushes her calves. She has tribal tattoos on her upper arms and across the backs of her shoulders that she got when she was sixteen. Chloe likes wearing men’s boxer briefs and a sports jersey style top to sleep in.

She’s been best friends with Jason for most of their lives, but recently she and Jason decided to take things further, though they are keeping their relationship secret from the general public for now. She’s also encouraged Jason to get involved with other girls, and has personally helped him start building a romantic/sexual relationship with his sister, Alex.
