Chapter 10
by GamerChick077
What's next?
Duncan
I arose from my bed and got ready for the day.
My mom entered my room. But instead of knocking on my door, she entered through a dark portal. What if I had been masturbating? Couldn't she have portaled outside my room?
"My son, I have news for you," she said, "Come with me."
I followed my mom through the portal. I found myself standing before four figures, viewing a screen. Felix and two Oni girls, one blue, one red, had taken down a suit of armour.
"So that little kitty took down that demon!" my mother said said, "Who'd have thought it?"
"Such is the power of the Chainsaword," a tall, young looking African woman with long black hair, hissed. She was dressed in extravagant clothing. My mother told me her name was Nasira and she was a sorcerer from one of the Arabian Nights world. Some of those worlds gender swapped some of the characters.
"I have had your brother craft a weapon," my mother said.
"Felix?" I asked.
"You still think he's your brother? I meant Hephaestus."
On the table was a katana blade. The hand guard was gold. The scarab was black.
"Marvellous. Truly marvellous," I could hear a smile in my mother's voice, "A work of art. But it's not a Chainsaword. Felix is such a trifling little thing, really."
"Her strength is not her own," Nasira, hissed, "A girl like her is not fit to wield such a weapon."
"He's a boy," another voice spoke, a woman with sharp teeth and horns that I recognised as Baba Yaga.
Her "eyes" were just black holes, as was the inside of her mouth. My mother tells me that her parents were killed by Hansel and Gretel.
"It would suit you, much better," my mother said to me.
My old doubts came up again. Why had it gone to Felix?
"Why don't we turn Felix into a demon?" suggested a thin slender hag with eight tentacle legs and long white hair, "That'll settle things quick enough!"
I grabbed the sword from the table and quickly created a dark portal that I stepped through, opening another portal next to the Sea Witch. I put my sword to her throat, "My brother will not be harmed. I'm only in this to save Dawn."
"Your sentiments make you weak," the sea witch, Thetis, said.
My mother claims that Thetis is her sister, which I don't think is accurate to the myths.
"Enough," Hera called.
The other four of us turned slightly to look at her.
"Ares, put the sword down," Hera said.
I moved the sword closer to Thetis' throat.
"Duncan..." my mother said.
I let go of Thetis.
"The Chainsaword has chosen Felix," Hera continued, "But my son, Ares, will wield his own. Until then, Felix could be quite useful..."
