Before Mara, Sofia and Saanvi arrived, Tom found Val again. "I love your idea to get those girls totally wasted," said Tom. "Mom and Dad have plenty of liquor and they don't mind if you partake as much as you want."

"Yeah, I know," said Val. "Can't wait!"

"Now, you don't get too wasted. Every other time you do a shot, pretend to take a beer chaser and spit the shot into the bottle. Dad still has a case of beer in the garage fridge."

"It's going to be so much fun!"

"Your idea to play 'truth or dare' is a good one too, and I love it you're going to dare Mara to french kiss me and have the other girls french kiss you and each other. You are such a fun person to think of such things!"

"Well, of course!"

Tom heard a car pull up into the drive way. Val's friends drove together. Val met them at the door and showed them into the living room where they stowed their overnight bags. Tom helped Val get the shot glasses, a bottle of vodka and got everyone a beer.

"Is he going to be here?" asked Sophia, crossing her arms.

"Oh, I'll be around, but I'll leave you four to your fun," said Tom. He winked at Val and went to his room.
