Drinking game: But Jake ups the ante to shots over wine
"Let's make it a drinking game, but I think shots will be more appropriate." Maria and Carla are always game anything, and Sarah knew Jake's family had the best alcohol money could buy, so she would never turn that down. So all three agreed quickly.
Jake retrieved some various bottles of both clear and dark liquor from the kitchen, along with four shot glasses. A drinking game was easy enough to accomplish, and he even had the option to let the women pick their flavors of shots. He put the bottles down around the edge of the game board and handed out each of the shot glasses.
"To the winner," Jake said, faking a toast. "May they be sober enough to keep an eye on the losers!"
Carla took her first turn and the game began. Even as the storm raged outside, the lights occasionally flickering and the winds beating against the sides of the house, they became less and less aware of the outside noises. Often times, their laughter and taunts at each other contended with the noise of the thunder, so they often missed it entirely.
[Who appears likely to win the game, and how drunk is everyone getting or not getting?]
