Chapter 18 by RowanOake RowanOake

Who does Gemma approach?

Draco

Gemma now found herself walking towards the tall blonde haired wizard known as Draco Malfoy.

Normally she would have felt a ton of animosity with him, they had been rivals every year when she was in school, starting when she refused his friendship in first year.

She didn't feel any animosity towards him now and she knew that was from Dumbledore's spells on her.

Draco Malfoy, the only son of loyal **** eater Lucius Malfoy. He was tall, taller than her. They used to be the same height but now she had to look up slightly if she wanted to talk to him. He was standing there in the back of the store in the quidditch section.

His grey eyes glanced over as she approached and he smirked slightly.

Gemma wasn't sure why exactly she picked Draco, maybe it was their history, maybe it was because she thought he was the leader of the group, or was it something else?

"Got your books all taken care of?" Draco said putting a book back on the shelf.

"Y-Yes all taken care of," Gemma replied as she was snapped out of her thoughts.

"What were you looking at?" Gemma asked trying to continue the conversation.

"Just some Quidditch books, you don't play do you?" Draco asked curiously.

"No... I've never played," Gemma heard herself say.

Never played... yes she did! Was this one of Dumbledore's instant responses he had put on her?

"Maybe I can teach you a thing or two?" Draco asked looking at her with a confident smirk.

"Yeah...maybe..." Gemma slowly replied trying to look away.

Ugh, if she didn't have to put up with this she could tell him what she really thought, but she had to keep those thoughts to herself.

She wanted to change the topic, so she looked around and saw a book she had read a lot on one of the high shelves.

Quidditch through the ages

Gemma turned away and tried to reach the book, but she was too short. Her old body would have been able to reach but her new one was just too short. She tried to stand on her tip toes but her fingers could barely scratch the back of the book.

"Hear let me help you," Draco said from behind her.

Before she knew it Draco had pressed up against her. She felt his tall hard body pressed up against her. Even if his father had bribed the team Draco was a quidditch player, which meant he was in good shape.

Gemma let out a small gasp, as his hand slowly traced her outstretched arm, and past her hand to the book she had been trying to grasp.

The blonde wizard quickly grabbed the book and brought it down still pressed up against her. Evident that he wasn't going to back up soon, Gemma turned to face him.

He held the book up for her take.

"T-thanks," Gemma said too flustered by what had just occurred to even think about it.

"Anytime." the grey-eyed wizard said with a confident smirk as he took a couple steps back from her.

With a beet-red face the black haired witch slowly walked back up to the counter to make another purchase.

When Gemma finished her purchase the group of Snakes had come back together and were off to continue their day of shopping.

Where is the next stop?
