Disappointed Mother ---> Doting Girlfriend

This disconnect is going to drive my nuts if I don't do something about it... so I do. It's something to do with the way my mother doesn't really act much like a mother at all, and how that feels 'wrong' somehow, so, in an act of rebellion, I target that phrase.

'Disappointed Mother' becomes 'Doting Girlfriend' and--

--the crowd thickens, and Mom- Mom? - I feel a sense of vertigo. It must be the music, locked in a moment of pounding my ears. Clubs like this are can get loud - oppressively so - and I h-love coming to them with Penelope to watch her dance.

She's not the greatest dancer in the world, but she does her best to be as entertaining as she can without making a full show of it, and there's just... something, about how in this sea of faces her eyes never stray from mine.

She's wearing a particularly sexy little red dress today, with plenty of jewelry, but that's not much different than any of the other gals in this club. It's quite popular with gamers due to the adjoining arcade, although our business is with the dance floor tonight.

But with the Prompt activating as I start my phone to take a cheeky recording of my girlfriend to commemorate the night... maybe I can change that around a little. After all, Penelope aside, with this power I can affect her surroundings - and thus the crowd - and thus her peers and their tastes.

Of course, if I decide to make Penelope - sweet, affectionate thing that she is - sexier, that'll probably happen anyway. Either way, I'm not sure what I was on about a minute ago. I didn't get together with Penelope because I was looking for a "traditional woman" - I got with her because we share so many interests.

And if she were the one holding the camera with the Prompt, I'm sure she'd want to have some fun with it too. So. That's what I'll do. I'll tell her about it later, maybe, if I feel like it. It's not like I can use its power on demand, after all...
