Delilah's mean and you're right by Cameron -- help him out!

You lift up your shooting arm, pointing it at the monster's head.

"Back up, Cameron!" You call. "I'm gonna shoot it!"

Cameron nods. Before jumping back, he blocks another scything attack with his shield, then pushes it back violently, putting the monster off balance and making it take a second to get itself together again. When he backs up, he does it only a small distance, because of his heavy partial plate armour. But more than enough for you to- hey!

A crossbow bolt whizzes past you from the hut, pinning into the simulated monster's flank and getting its leg stuck. With a weird noise, it falls to the ground from its leg not being able to move. Once it's down it can't get up again for the same reason. Or at least, it can't get up again for long enough that a second crossbow bolt flies past you and into the simulated monster's head, cracking it back on impact before the monster's entire body goes still. Out of where the crossbow bolt sticks, a trail of that orange liquid leaks down the monster's face.

Wha- no fair! You were gonna do that! You stomp your foot in frustration and lower your gun arm, turning towards Jace and giving him a look. He probably can't tell from all the way over there, but still. Not cool. Just because you weren't fast enough to get there first is no excuse for him to step in like that.

Cameron whistles, looking down at where the monster's slumped in front of him. "How in the world did you and Jace co-ordinate that?"

You don't answer, you just keep pouting in anger at the direction of Jace. He gives you a big overhead wave and probably a smile. You wave back, to be polite, but you're still a little peeved.

Well! If nothing else, at least the battle isn't over just yet. Your class doesn't win until all three of the monster are defeated, and as you look over to the bridge, you see that Delilah's still fighting her one. It looks like not a low of headway's been made by either side still. If you wanted, since you've finished up over here now, you could help her out a bit?
