"No. No. Celine you can't take Honorata's dress without asking!" I shouted at a redhead with freckles on her cute face. Face so cute that your heart could be healed from the worst funk ... as long as that evil brat didn't speak.

I felt the migraine return. As I rubbed my fingers over my temples. This was supposed to be a prize right? For a brave hero who saved the kingdom from the dragon. And I saved the kingdom from a dragon.

Of course. I didn't defeat the dragon. That would be insane. Guy like me. A knight technically, but really a bureaucrat with barely average body who could barely pass the yearly physicals.

I did however successfully negotiate a reasonable tribute of cows and sheep meant to keep the beast satiated, and any number of Otherners that the beast can eat while defending our southern border. That's right. I turned a menace that into a well paid border guard.

The problem was of course the aftermath of that negotiations. The Triumph was impossible. No new hero to lead the forces against wild Northerners (Although I'm sure that my studies of General Tacticus' greatest works would prove me more then capable at leading the army). No knight in a shining armour for ladies to swoon over. Just a middle aged guy who technically fulfilled the conditions for the reward.

As for the reward. It really did felt like the reward was a cruel joke at best. Instead of bliss and happiness I got a dozen for scheming, cruel, and duplicitous crows. Second and third daughters of magnates with personalities so rotten that even their beauty couldn't compensate for it. One was even a widow, putting her first husband into an early grave. And that seemed to be my fate as well.

Iiiiiiiiiiiiii in my ears, the most annoying bell ringing in my head as the screams of arguing women filled the house again.

"What now!?" I screamed.

"Credit card got declined!" responded Agata. Gorgeous, elegant, and incredibly vein second daughter of Duke of Hereburough.

"How? I have given you all a budget?!" I asked the ceiling.

"Merseratteri dealer was in town. Obviously I had to buy two fur coats, winter's coming!" Agata responded like it was the most obvious thing and it was beneath her to even explain it to me.

"So? What you're going to do about it?" asked Denise. Horrible, treacherous Denise, who I knew had a lover.

"Yea! I need a new car too" chipped in Eva. Another bratty princess. Mortal enemy of Celine.

"I just bought you a car? What happened to it?" I asked completely defeated.

"Celine took it for a ride and crashed it!" Eva said.

"Is that true?" I asked closing my eyes.

"Of course not! It was that guys fault! If he didn't stop before the zebra I'd have not hit his back! And If Francesca lent me her sandals I'd not be late!" little brat retorted, as usual refusing to take blame.

Screaming match ensured between at least six of them. While I sat down and contemplated if I should cut my wrists or hang myself in the stables.

"So. What you're going to do?" one of the harpies screeched at me.
