Day 4: Tread Carefully [Tangled / Swamp]

"Hey Jess?" The elf in a cowboy costume said as he threaded through the mist, "Are you there?"
"Yeah, Rob." The elf in a pink fairy costume said, "I'm here."
"Jess, I think we're lost." Rob said as he carefully treaded between the roots twisting around on the ground.
"We... we're lost?" Jess said indignantly as she too made her way through the occupied terrain, unable to see her hands before herself, "What do you mean we? You're the one who suggested we take this path to the next house. It's a shortcut you said."
"It is a shortcut. I just can't see it for all the fog."
"Yes, Rob." Jess pinched the ridge of her nose, "That's why you don't walk into a swampy area during autumn. That, and you'll eventually end up stepping into..."
At that point her pink slipper was submerged into a cold, viscous water, discernibly filthy just by touch.
"...ewwww!"
"Hah!" Rob reflexively let out a laugh which he immediately came to realize he would regret, "Careful where you set your feet, Jess. You'll..." Rob's foot missed the ground as it fell into a pit of muck. Jess held her hand before her mouth to mute a faint giggle. That was almost worth ruining her fairy costume for.
Almost.

"Ah..." Jess's face turned pale as her mouth gawked open, staring out blankly.
"What is it?" Rob asked.
"S-s-s-sp-spider..." Jess pointed somewhere behind Rob, "...spider..."
Rob laughed, "Oh, don't tell me the oh-so great Jess is terrified of little spiders. They're so small, and you're so..." Rob interrupted himself as he saw something in the corner of his eye moving. He looked over his shoulder, and saw six red eyes glowing through the mist. As the mist subsided, a creature appeared with the upper body of a busty, white-haired woman in purple bodice and the lower body of a horse-sized spider hanging from the top of a large tree in a white silken rope, smiling menacingly as she beheld the elf in cowboy outfit.
...oh."
"Don't just stand there! Run!" Jess grabbed Rob's wrist and yanked him away, running as fast as they could through the muck, just in time to dodge out of the way of the pendulum swing of the giant spider girl, right across the spot where Rob was a second ago.
"WHY ARE THERE MONSTER GIRLS HERE! Rob yelled as they waded through the lot at a speed almost akin to running.
"I DON'T KNOW!" Jess yelled back, "MAYBE THEY'RE PREYING ON IDIOTS WHO TRY AND MAKE A SHORTCUT THROUGH THE SWAMP!"
From the mist a frog girl jumped in the way, staring at her prey, the elf in a cowboy outfit, with eyes moist from lust as she licked her lip with a long, mucus-covered tongue. When she opened her mouth wide, Rob and Jess simultaneously jumped out of the way of her tongue as it shot out towards them but missed, the tip of the tongue flying off way past them.

SMUSH!
"EEeeeeh! Get it off! Get it off!" The spider girl, who had been pursuing the elves, shrieked out as the tongue struck her right in the clevage where it stuck.
"Auuueh! Ueeae-auuueh!" The frog girl yelled waving her arms as she tugged on her tongue.
"I don't give a fuck! Just get it off me!" The spider girl tugs back, causing the frog girl to yell out in pain.
During this chaos, which had left Rob flabbergasted, Jess tugged on Rob's sleeve, "Now that that's settled, let's get out of here."
"Uhhh, yeah. I kinda feel bad about this. It's sorta our fault, isn't it."
Jess stopped up in shock for a moment, "Because they tried to catch you and do unspeakable things to you! It serves them right."
"But we're not like them, are we? I mean, wouldn't you hate it if I just left you in such a predicament?"
"Uh.. I mean..." Jess twisted her tongue trying to come up with a way to answer the question honestly without really answering it, but found herself distracted by the tongue on boob wrestling the monster girls engaged themselves in, "You know what, fine. But if we're gonna do this, we're gonna do this my way, all right? We're not having another 'shortcut' moment."
Rob laughed, "Fair is fair. Go ahead, Jess." He gestured towards the monster girls.

As Jess approached them, she cleared her throat to get their attention, "Listen up girls! I don't know what your intentions are with Rob over here, but he just wants to rid you of your ridiculous predicament. I'm not gonna let him do that though if you're just gonna jump him the moment that you are free, so I want you to promise that, when he is done helping you, you will just leave him be and get him out of the swamp. So what do you say?"
"All right!" The spider girl yelled out, "Fine! I promise!"
"Uaaaaeh! Aeuuuuh-ahhh!!!"
"I'll take that as a yes." Jess gestured for Rob to approach, "Do your work now, lover-boy. But don't blame me if they make you a prisoner of their arousal."
Rob rubbed his hands together and approached the spider girl, who knelt down and looked down on Rob with quivering lips, "Please be gentle."
"Oh, don't worry. You just gotta handle this with a modicum of finesse." Rob grabbed a boob with one hand each and pressed them together, then rubbed them so as to malform the surface enough for the tongue to slip away.
"Aaahhh~" The spider girl arched her neck back and bit down on her finger to restrain her lust. In the end the tongue loosened up significantly.
"All right, one final tug should do, and..." With said tug from Rob, the tongue snapped loose, reeling back towards the mouth of the frog, with Rob still clinging on to it.
Just as he was about to crash into the frog girl, she caught him in her arms.
"Hey!" Jess ran towards the frog girl furious, "Get away from him this instance!"
"Yeah!" The spider girl said, "I was gonna snatch him!"
Jess sneered at both the monster girls, "Nobody is snatching anyone here! Remember that you promised? Besides, you owe him now for getting you out of that mess!"
"Aww, come ooon!" The frog girl said, "I wasn't gonna steal him or anything!" She puckered her lips and gave him a long, passionate kiss on the mouth, which ended in a smack as their lips parted, "You didn't say nothing about no kissing though!"
"Sure. Fine. Whatever." Jess said, "We're leaving now. Our costumes are ruined, so there's no point in trick or treating anymore." Jess sighed, "Might as well go home now."
"Wait," the spider girl said, "Costumes, you say?"
"Yeah," Rob scratched the back of his neck, "We kinda got them ruined in the swamp."
The spider girl folds her arms, "Give me five minutes." The spider girl retreats into the mist.
"Should... should we be worried?" Rob asked Jess.
Jess shrugged, "If she wanted to hurt us she was more than capable at any moment. Still that doesn't mean I actually want to wait anymore. I think we've been patient enough."
"I don't know," Rob said, "I could use a leg stretcher myself." Rob seats himself on a rock.
"Well... you're not wrong there." Jess seats herself on a log.

Five minutes later the spider girl appeared with a pile of cloth folded on her arms, along with a felt hat.
"Why hey there, my hero~!" The spider girl said, "As a sign of my gratitude, how about I'll give you some replacement costumes?"
Jess blinked, "You... did that in five minutes?"
"Uh huh. I'm rather an ace with the needle and thread, as you can imagine, and you're both rather small and... simply built."
"...I'll take that as a compliment." Jess said and took her costume of pink tutu with wings and slippers, along with a towel to dry oneself off.
"Thanks, uh... what was your name again."
"Annica." The spider girl said.
"Thanks Annica," Rob took his cowboy costume as well, "Looks like you really saved our evening."
That's the least I could do, really." Annica giggled as she tried to hide her blush with her palm.
Jess sighed, "Thank you so much, Annica. Now let's try these ones on."
The two elves went to a secluded area in the forest where they could get changed to their new costumes, ready to take on that damn house they were here for all this time
