Chapter 46

What happened next?
Damon was, of course, mighty.
After an hour of flying through the skies, he saw the vague form of a man in what appeared to be a unitard, looking like a knockoff Superman, floating motionless in the sky waiting for him.
A smile appeared on Damon's face as the unknown flying man slowly approached him, speaking in a quite booming voice, “Extradimensional Traveler, why have you come to this world? Have you come for ****, or for peace?”
“I hadn’t much thought about it, to be honest, maybe, or maybe not, I’m not sure.” A sly smile was plastered across his face.
“I see. I… I am Emission Man, the man of a thousand nukes, yep, that’s me.” He sluggishly responded, as if he’d ignored much of what he’d said.
“Well, in that case, I am Damon Steel, the Dragon King of the Bountiful Edge. I have come in search of a worthy fight, might that be you?” The smile was still across his face, as he laughed heartily as the stressed super man was watching intently, worried about whatever disaster was impending.
‘A fucking Dragon King? What the fuck is that? Daniel, what’s he talking about?’ The confused Millennium Man was asking the leading official of the Global Hero Agency, hesitant to make a move.
Before long, a stress filled voice responded, ‘Try to keep him away from populated areas, I’m sorry but that’s about the best we can do until the rest of the league gets there. You're too fast for them to keep up. It’ll be about two minutes.’
‘That’ll have to work. But what’s a Dragon King?’ Steve Bestman had been a hero for two hundred years, though in the new age, he wasn’t too aware of the league's actions. He had worked much of his life to protect his country and his world as a whole. Though this might’ve been the biggest threat he’d ever felt or faced.
Said biggest threat was looking around lackadaisically, patiently waiting for some unknown reason, but that reason was made clear after a moment.
“When are your buds gonna get here? I wanna have a good fight, they’ll help.”
“Uhh… Just a minute or two, they’ll be here in about a minute.” Was he gonna wait for them? That’d be great.
And to his shock, the Dragon king waited patiently for the seven other members of the Global Defense League, a variety of powerful heroes which could help him.
As Damon was watching the gathering heroes, he was getting a bit bored, but what motivated him was the similarities of the heroes he saw with what he’d seen in comics. A Superman analogue in Millennium Man, a brutish man in all black floating with some odd tech, a flying woman which looked remarkably like Wonder Woman. The theme continued throughout most of the League, with some exceptions, leaving a smile on Damon's face.
“Ok, you guys’ll have to do. Let’s see if y’all can stop me.” An enraptured Damon released a mighty blast of Another Sun towards what appeared to be a gaseous being, though it appeared to be a Djinn, as it captured the blast with some unknown magic, as a possible Thor analogue swung his hammer into his skull, to no effect, as Damon punched the man a thousand feet backwards, blood spurting from his mouth.
As Damon was getting excited, he shouted out, “Ohhh yeah!” Before breathing a truly monstrous Dragon’s Breath from his suddenly Draconic maw, catching the Millennium Man off guard, singing his form to a fearsome degree, though he then rose from the flames, an angry expression on his face, as the other League members suddenly became quite worried .
Steve Bestman, the Millennium man, a man of many strengths, flew at indiscernible speeds, piercing the unaware Dragon King through the heart with his hand. “Farewell, Draconic fiend.”
“Too soon.” Damon whispered into his ear, before placing a finger onto his shoulder with Eternal Petrification applied, as Steve rushed backwards a hundred feet, and with a moment’s hesitation, he had to chop his arm off from the elbow to avoid the Petrification affecting his entire body.
“That works on me?” Millennium Man was surprised as he looked at his severed arm, though it soon burst back into existence, as though it’d never been gone.
“Let’s try this, then.” As Damon had a sinister grin on his face, Steve felt a shiver across his back, as Damon cast Banishment on him, sending him to the other Earth, the one he’d just come from. “Looks like it worked.” And a laugh, hearty and deep, he celebrated.
The man dressed in black appeared behind Damon with surprising stealth, though it was only possible without Partial Omniscience, which Damon had been missing, and tink, a knife had shattered on his suit, not even piercing the it’s bloody make, though the blood made sure to grab the attacker, forming a cocoon around him, nearly crushing him with the ****, dropping it to the ground roughly.
A fierce combat.

Clark Goldem, a successful college athlete, has been injured in the last game he'll ever play. Lets see him go through these misadventures, throughout which, he will be absurdly, and obscenely, blessed, by the Father of the Goddess of the New World. In this medieval fantasy, the new Damon Steel will never want for anything again. Let us bear witness to this new man making his way through his new life. Maybe it'll be fun.
