Chapter 16 by crunchyspag crunchyspag

What now

Continue your quest

You will admit that you got distracted at the inn, but no more of that. You have to focus again on your reason for coming here: capturing the seductress who stole your seed. You and your men have slowed to a trot. The forest paths in Grunwald are narrow and shoddy, so you cannot run at full pace. Fortunately, that means your quarry can't either. Still, with her lead it is not enough to keep pace, you need to make up ground.

The forest itself is dark and foreboding. The thick treeline blocks most of the light even during the brightest part of the day. All the paths you have taken were quiet. Completely deserted, in fact. The only company your group has are the intermittent calls of the birds and bugs which densely populate the forest. "'Tis a godforsaken place, these woods" you hear somebody say. A horse sounds off right afterwards as if it were saying the same. You would have to agree with them both.

Any surprises?
