Consequences

You are grateful when Sarah confides in you what Joe had done. She wasn’t as upset as you would expect her to be given the circumstances. It was also three weeks in the past at this point.

Sarah’s boyfriend had come over the next day to ask why she had ‘blocked’ his phone. It was an awkward conversation as she never did that and even showed him her phone. That was when they figured out the trick that ‘someone’ had played. She kept the culprit, she immediately knew who did it, to herself.

Joe had proven himself to be devious and demented but the experience was far from an actual ****. Sarah could have stopped him at anytime but chose to let it happen, in her mind. Therefore, she spared him the wrath of her boyfriend.

That is until three weeks had passed and Sarah realized her period was late. A quick trip to her mother’s gynecologist and the at home test kit was confirmed, she was pregnant. Her boyfriend was always careful and refused to have sex with her during her most fertile days. Not that had ever came up when Joe was breeding her.

Your mother always warned your sister that she probably inherited her genes have an extremely fertile womb. That is why Sarah never really fought her boyfriend if she was extremely horny during her fertile period… which happened to be often, ironically.

As if to prove it, a couple months ago your parents revealed that mother is pregnant again with another sibling. It was a little late to be starting a second family, you thought but with medical science advancing as it is, your parents will probably enjoy a very healthy long life.

So Joe was an asshat that knocked up your sister. Her boyfriend of six years dumped her once she told him she was pregnant. That confrontation was traumatic to say the least.

You try to talk Sarah out of making any decision so quickly. Yet she seems determined to insure her baby had a father, your parents are Roman Catholic and that is how you both have been raised.

Sarah could offer the child up for adoption, newborns are typically easily found an adopting family.

However, Sarah asked for the family’s help with raising the child and got it. Two newborns would be marginally more effort than one, or so their logic and reasoning suggested. Still she kept Joe from receiving the wrath of her parents, or her brother for that matter.

While, you now knew the secret and despise what Joe did, Sarah had sworn you to secrecy; And, after having Joe violate your trust, you are loath to violate your sister’s.

So it is with much intrepidation that you invite an unsuspecting Joe over for your sister’s test. She wanted to know how Joe actually saw her. Your psychology classes easily classified this the mistake of denial. She didn’t want to face the reality that she was simply fucked, in more ways than one, and that was it.

Creeps rarely turn into knights in shining armor.

Yet here you are inviting Joe back into your home. With gritting teeth you struggle to maintain your decorum until he proved his true scumbag nature.

“Welcome Joe” Sarah says as she came to the door with her brother. She didn’t trust you by yourself with him. If you weren’t seeing red now, you may have grudgingly admitted it was a good idea.

You follow them up the stairs, as Sarah purposefully holds Joe’s hand. Uncharacteristically, he was holding hers tenderly. Joe rarely thought of others feelings before himself. That was one of his defining characteristics. At least it was a month ago.

Before you three even got to Sarah’s room, Joe seemed to sense where things were headed. He may have picked up that something was wrong when you refused to answer his calls for the past two weeks.

“Look, I am sorry for tricking you before, Sarah”

Even being behind Sarah you knew she was smiling mischievously. Yet, you also could tell a weight seemed to have been lifted off her shoulders. You are too emotional at the moment to think much past the present, so you just take it as a bad sign…

… Good for her, bad for you getting your vengeance on…

“Trick? What trick are you referring too Joe?” Sarah asks with an innocent voice. You swear lightly under your breath, because she was innocent a short time ago.

Joe let Sarah usher him into her room first. “You know what, Sarah you have always been smart.”

Sarah smirks, “Not smart enough to know when I am being played for a fool. I should have known Jake would have never sent that text.” She points to her bed, for Joe to sit on. A lot would be decided based on his immediate reaction.

Sarah suspected that Joe has figured out the ‘incident’ was far from a secret, at least between the three of you. “… You are far from as stupid as I thought you were a short time ago. I thought I would have to spell it out for you.”
