Chloe rides with Colin and Zack goes with Jennifer

“I will!” Chloe said, a little too much excitedly in Zack’s opinion. Nevertheless, he watched as she accepted the spare helmet that Colin handed her and climbed behind him on his motorcycle.

“Let’s go too, Zack.” Jennifer tapped him on his shoulder and gave him a helmet as well. Zack nodded, putting on the helmet and climbing on the blonde’s motorcycle behind her.

“Hold on tight.” Colin said playfully and Chloe complied, wrapping her arms around the male ranger’s torso.

Unconsciously, Zack did the same with Jennifer, feeling how slender and toned the woman’s waist was. If she was uncomfortable with his action, she didn’t show.

Once all four of them were ready, the rangers turned on their vehicles and steered them back on the way they had came from, towards the sign. When they reached the sign a couple of minutes later, Zack noticed that they took the third path, the one which he had entered earlier to find Chloe.

Soon enough, they crossed the stream where Zack had found his friend, keeping going to the other side of it. After that, it was unseen territory and Zack lost track of it, preferring to revel in the sensation of holding a fully-grown woman in his hands for the first time. He was suddenly glad that his lower body wasn’t touching Jennifer’s, otherwise he was sure the ranger would feel his hard erection poking at her backside.

He froze at that thought, involuntarily giving a light squeeze on Jennifer’s waist. ”Shit, I have to pull myself together here,” He thought, panicked. ”She’ll probably beat me to **** if I end up doing something.”

Zack found himself wishing that the ride would end soon. He considered asking Colin if they were near the cabin he had spoken about, but the ranger probably wouldn’t hear his question over the loud noise of the engines.

His gaze shifted to Chloe, holding on to Colin’s torso a little more tightly than needed. He chuckled. ”So, Chloe has a crush on Colin, then?” He asked inside his mind with a grin. ”I definitely can’t let it pass.”

Distracting his head with thoughts about Chloe and the rest of his friends, Zack almost didn’t notice the rest of the ride. A few minutes later, they were parking in front of a cabin that was a little smaller than the Ravers’ cabin.

Once they all had gotten off the motorcycles, Zack looked at the cabin, wondering who had found Gavin and gave him shelter. ”It must be really great people to take a stranger under their roof like that.”

Colin knocked on the door and waited. A few seconds later, an adult man with Hispanic features who looked like he was in his late thirties opened it. A look of recognition found its way to Zack and Chloe’s eyes when they saw him.

“Mr. Rivera?” He asked in disbelief.

The man smiled. “Hello, Zachary, how are you?”

Carlos Rivera was the father of Zack’s ex-girlfriend, Lisa. Now the young man could understand how they helped Gavin so easily, because of his friendship with Lisa. “I’m fine, Mr. Rivera, thanks for helping Gavin.” Zack managed to say.

“I would do the same for any of my daughter’s friends,” He said, then turning to Colin. “I assume you are the ranger whom I spoke with on the phone, Colin Matheson?”

Colin nodded. “Yes, sir. We brought the boy’s friends to look at him and possibly pick him up to take him back to their cabin.”

“Well, unfortunately it won’t be possible to move Gavin today,” Carlos told them, causing worried expressions to grow on Zack and Chloe’s faces. “Easy there, there’s nothing to worry about. The boy just sprained his ankle yesterday and it’s still healing.”

“We were hoping to take him with us.” Jennifer piped in.

“One solution that can work is you two spending the night here,” Carlos suggested. “Then tomorrow morning, you all can go.”

“We don’t want to impose, Mr. Rivera.” Chloe said with a bit of uncertainty.

“Nonsense, you’re all Lisa’s friends,” The man reassured them. “It’ll be a pleasure to have you here today.”

“Well, it’s settled then,” Colin said. “You guys stay here and we go back to the station.”

Zack and Chloe exchanged a quick glance and nodded at each other, both agreeing that it was the best thing to do. While the redhead went to say goodbye to Colin, Jennifer approached Zack.

“So, everything worked out in the end,” She said, cheerfully. “I have to get going, but if you need me or another ranger, Zack, just call Heather and she’ll inform me.”

Zack smiled. “Got it, thanks for everything , Jennifer.”

The ranger returned his smile for a brief moment and then turned around, heading to her motorcycle. Zack watched her firm ass for a couple seconds as she walked to the vehicle and then he turned back to Carlos Rivera.

“Can you show us where Gavin is now, Mr. Rivera?” Zack asked, politely.

The man smiled at Zack and Chloe as Jennifer and Colin sped off on their motorcycles. “Sure, right this way, kids.”

As they entered the cabin, Zack couldn’t help but think that there was a connection between the bear costumes and the fact that Carlos Rivera was there, the man was a detective after all, he had to be investigating it, was Zack’s guess. However, right now, the more pressing concern in Zack’s mind was the impending meeting with Lisa Rivera and the realization that he would be talking to her for the first time since they broke up eight months ago.
