Chloe, room with a king-sized bed

After thinking it through for a few seconds, Zack decided that the most logical decision would be to share a room with Chloe, his best friend.

“Hey, Chloe,” Zack called her. “Let’s share a room?”

Chloe smiled. “Sure,” she replied. “Let’s get our stuff.”

As everyone took their luggage to their respective rooms, Zack learned that the pairings went like this; Victoria and Heather, Brandon and Ashley, Gavin and Kurt, and Chloe and himself. Zack mentally chuckled at the thought of Gavin having to put up with Kurt for two weeks in the same room. That made him think again about Victoria. With Heather as her roommate, he didn’t think he could find out much about Victoria’s feelings just by asking the cheerleader captain about the matter. Hell, at this point I’m just glad that she’s not sharing a room with Kurt, he thought.

He then followed Chloe into the room they would be sharing to find a wardrobe, a dresser, a desk with a chair, a closed door and a king-sized bed flanked by two nightstands. A freaking king-sized bed. He turned to Chloe.

“Ok, this is awkward,” Zack stated, a thoughtful expression on his face.

Chloe stared at the bed as well. “Want to go back there and ask if someone wants to switch rooms?” she looked at him with an inquiring face.

Zack met her eyes, and after they stared at each other for a couple seconds, the two of them started shaking their heads and laughed. “Nah!” they said in unison.

“This bed must be a lot more comfortable than the smaller ones,” Zack said as he sat down on the mattress and bounced for a while.

“Plus, we got the bathroom,” Chloe added, opening the closed door and peeking inside. “We’ll have to share it with them, of course, but it’ll be neat to have it so close to us.”

Zack opened the wardrobe. “I was going to ask if you wanted the wardrobe but this looks big enough to fit all of our stuff,” he pointed out. "And we've the dresser."

“This trip’s beginning to get pretty fun in my books,” Chloe grinned as she threw herself on her back on the bed.

Zack smiled at his best friend. “Ok, new rule for the duration of the trip,” he announced. “We’re now under an oath to have as much fun as we can, the way we always did. Regardless of what happens between me and Victoria.”

“Deal,” Chloe agreed, a wide grin plastered over her face.
