Check over some stuff

You pick up your datapad, you have an idea; while you are physically useful, you are another set of eyes for looking over information.

You spend the next couple of days recovering, all the while using your free time to check some of the strange information. First, you try to figure out why there were gaps between The Arc's arrivals, most importantly, why yours arrived some 1,603 years after leaving. But you try to; you can only peace together some much as you really only have The Artemis' computer.

However, what you can piece together from an old captain's notice. Is that the Earth's government had put far better engines in The Apollo, Artemis, and even The Asteria. Due to a perceived desire to get the "important" people to Ross 128b sooner; for some reason. However, that would only explain a 35-year difference, not over 1,000 years, for that you would need The Andromeda's computer. But the ship was destroyed when you arrived along with its network.

During your rest, you have healed, and most of the bruising has subsided it still hurts to walk. But even you get out of bed regardless, and begin to head to the cockpit; you feel like you should check to see if any part of The Andromeda has survived.

You somewhat expect to see one of the others on your way. However, they seem to be off doing something else, leaving you alone in your attempt to get to the cockpit.

When you arrive, you sit weakly into the chair, sitting down quickly.

"Fuck" you curse, celebrating your first real walk, in days.

You rest for a minute, letting the pain subside before pulling open the console. Using the shuttle's sensors, you look for any signal from orbit, for the first couple minutes you find nothing, then are surprised when a prompt appears.

Sitting quickly up you see what the signal is registered as, The Apollo.

The signal is weak explaining why the base did not pick it up, you would have to be looking for it to find it, luckily you were.

For a moment you let yourself get worked up, maybe there are survivors on the ship. Perhaps there are useful machines, even robots could be onboard the vessel. However you soon temper your enthusiasm, it would have arrived over hundreds of years ago, it is unlikely anyone is still on the ship. But again you know you should try to get up there to salvage anything of use, as to be honest your colony right now is kind of a dump.
