What do I do?
Check out the room
I decide to check the room while I wait.
I look at a bookshelf. It has stories from historical travellers from India to Transylvania. A book catches my eye, “Son of Dracula, Matthew.” I chuckle to myself. Wow, after all these years she remembers one of my names. For those wondering what my name is or was, I was Matthew Georgios, a commoner before I was sired by Dracula. These days I don’t have a name, to protect my identity since I am a vampire.
I then check out the figurines. One has a vampire feeding on a young child. The fangs are so detailed that poking your finger in the mouth would prick you. The one next to it is a child and her father. The final one caught my eye. It had one that looked like me feeding on a girl my age. I recognise the story. The story is that I was sired at a young age. I met Jasmine at a jousting tournament in Constantinople with her Emperor father. The final figurine is me turning her after Mehmed of the Ottomans sieged Constantinople. I rescued her during the siege and due to her condition from the fire I turned her to save her life.
The final one near the door is a mural of Jasmine and I standing next to each other with a shield of our houses with the motto “Everlasting life can’t shatter our pasts, Endless life amends our future” in Greek.
