Charlotte
Name: Charlotte
Race: Human
Age: 23
Class: Archer
Rank: C
Description: Charlotte is a slender young woman of average height with bright blue eyes and long silver hair.
Biography: While most nuns are orphans raised in the church, Charlotte’s path was different. Charlotte started life as a middle-class daughter of a wealthy merchant. The family money allowed her to receive the best education and training. Despite the advantages she was afforded, Charlotte did not enjoy her school days. At the elite school she was sent to almost all of the children were from noble families. While her family was wealthier than many of them, she was expected to defer to them while they treated her as inferior.
Charlotte also had a kind heart, and was drawn to the outcasts in the school, the children whose noble houses were struggling or looked down on by the others, even as many of them treated her as inferior. She was frequently alone, a harsh place for the outgoing and friendly girl. Charlotte mostly found solace in her religious classes, taught by a stern nun who was one of the few instructors willing to stand up to the nobles.
Charlotte loved the nun’s stories, and would sneak away during meals and free time to sit and listen to the old woman who was always willing to share more about Imris with the young girl. When Charlotte graduated, she came home to tell her father the plans she had to use the family fortune to improve the lives of the less fortunate resident of Tristana, plans that were not well received.
Her father had sent his attractive, outgoing, and intelligent daughter to that elite school believing she would attract the affections of a noble house in need of financial help. His dream of leveraging his fortune to bring his family into the upper class was dashed, and while Charlotte wasn’t kicked out of her family home, her father didn’t treat her the same anymore. Charlotte couldn’t take it. She ran away from home, sought out the nun that had mentored her, and was offered the chance to join the church as an acolyte.
Charlotte’s drive, teachings at the hand of the old nun, and being a few years older than other acolytes helped her move quickly through her church training. She completed her final mission, attended her awakening, and received a C-rank as an archer. It was a year of more work before Charlotte was offered a chance to join the prestigious Battle Nuns.
In her fellow Battle Nuns, Charlotte has found the friendship and family she has always desired. Her dedication to her fellow nuns is exceeded only by her dedication to the Goddess, who Charlotte now understands was guiding her toward this destiny all along.
Skills:
Skill 1: Eagle eye - Charlotte has improved eyesight
Skill 2: Power shot - Charlotte overextends her bowstring for a more powerful shot
Skill 3: Steady hand - Charlotte can hold her hand in a tense position for a long time without straining herself.
Skill 4: Precision – Charlotte’s accuracy with ranged weapons is temporarily increased
Equipment and fighting style:
Charlotte wears a traditional Battle Nun habit, cut high on her thighs to allow greater movement and the ability to set a good base for her shots in whatever ground she finds herself. Her sleeves look fitted, but are carefully designed with extra folds of cloth to allow movement while affording Charlotte the look of a more conservative habit.
Charlotte was trained specifically by the lady who is now her leader, Dalia. Charlotte's skills make her an excellent shot, but Dalia wanted more. Charlotte learned to anticipate the actions of others, use her vision to track the entire battle, and her steady hand to allow her to find targets and fire with minimum delay. Charlotte exceeded the demands Dalia placed on her and earned a spot in Dalia's party. She is a support archer, using her arrows to create openings and capitalize on her sisters' work. Her timely interventions are often the difference in one of her sisters winning or losing a fight.
