Changes the Attitude of the Humans

"I have found the place where the transmutation will take place. I will form a mighty, large nation called Amestris and the humans who live within its borders will be used for components. These plans will come to pass."

The Homunculus smirked, thinking back to the last few years as the Eastern Sage and how he was able to manipulate the humans of this land to slaughter each other for him, so he could gain control of what would become the centre of his circle.

"That goes without saying, of course. The humans of this world are easy to convince. Just as the nobles of Xerxes did, the humans of my new nation will all happily follow me, unaware that they're cooperating for their own demise. Even if they did know the full extent of my plans for them, I'm sure that they'd still cooperate."

As he wrote that, the truth of that last statement cemented in his head. Initially, he meant it as an insult, that Humanity were so herded and dim that they simply wouldn't know how to oppose someone as powerful and smart as him. However, as soon as he drove down his pen to add that final period, its meaning changed to him.

He was certain, without any doubt, that the humans would cooperate with his plan, whether they knew its outcome or not.

And why was this? Well, he could guess:

"Humans yearn for something greater than themselves. To the humans of Amestris, becoming one with a philosopher's stone means an eternal existence of blissful fulfilment. After all, what use are there for humans, if not a resource I can use? The Promised Day will be beneficial for everyone. I will consume God and they'll be happy to fulfil their function as pawns and as sources of energy."

Yes, that was right. Once he founds his nation, the people will understand that his goals are not malevolent ones. This was a win/win.

"Until the Promised Day approaches, the humans of Amestris will work tirelessly to make sure it goes perfectly will celebrate the centuries of effort to make it a reality."

That was enough wistful dreaming, he thought to himself. The fantasy had got him in a good mood and excited for the far off Promised Day, as he referred to it. He wanted to get some planning done.
