Centaur encounter

Niery draws her daggers out of their sheets and attempts to close the distance, she has no chance of fighting him from range. [15+5]

She manages to make it about halfway before the centaur draws his bowstring back and takes aim, in one swift motion he releases his arrow at her [9<20] but misses as she swiftly ducks underneath. She's now about 3/4ths of the way there. However, the move nearly makes her lose her footing causing her to nearly trip over her own feet [2].

The centaur trots back creating more distance between himself and Niery but this causes him to back up against the door on the opposite side of the room.

[24] Niery recovers and pursues just in time for him to make it hard to take aim, instead he attempts to trample over her [17] but not before she can take a slash at him.

The centaur sinks through his knees, and his attempt to trample her falters as she makes a huge slash along his lower abdomen opening fatal arteries or organs. Niery manages to avoid the beastman from falling on top of her as his lifeless body lies next to her exit.

Niery checks if he has anything of value. It appears the bow is broken but she does find a
#12 Small wound balm (+3hp on consumption)
and stows it away.

This fight proved easy, or perhaps she was just lucky. Of course, this was still on the first level but plenty of others had failed according to the records.
