Catherine - Growing Stronger 2

Catherine had not even realized how dirty she had been. She also almost fainted when she saw the state of the bath. The lower levels were almost unusuable. Thankfully, the bath had been empty and Zal already working on cleaning them, starting from the top, so that there were a few clean tubs at the top.

Now, clean with still drying hair, she steps into the Enchantment quarter. She walks through the giant room and between the many, many workbenches with unfinished projects on them. Halfway done staffs, party crafted clothes, blocks of unused wood and iron. Catherine runs her right index finger over one of these tables. A layer of dusts travels with her and sticks to her hand. He blows it off and continues on to the shelf with the enchantment plans.

Uklag always protocols everything he does. Catherine doesn’t understand why exactly, her master was able to seemingly remember everything without problem and not once had looked at a finished plan to replicate an enchantment. When she had asked him one time he simply stated: “Back in Orstead I wasn’t able to write much, the bit of paper I made I used to practice drawing. You can say I simply enjoy calligraphy.” She had simply nodded and asked about Evocation afterwards.

His hobby now came as a big help to her. Going through several plans, she searches for one in particular. Catherine might not be a particularly gifted Enchanted but she is a rather powerful mage, if she follows her masters plan to the letter she should be able to replicate any but the most complicated of enchantments.

Finally she finds the piece of paper she was looking for and pulls it from the shelf. “Project 332, Category: Alteration, Source: Cast, Name: Mind break Reinforcer.” She reads to description at the top of the scroll and unrolls. It contains a list of the necessary materials, steps for the transmutation process and guide for the magical matrix.

With a smile Catherine walks back to a workbench and gets to work.
