Catherine - Growing Stronger 3

“I found them, twenty of them to be exact. Minus Tienal that makes 19. Girl you really have a lot of fans.” Alratha says as she enters the Enchantment Quarter. Catherine smiles back at her maniacal grinning friend and waves with her right hand. She is wearing a metal reinforced brown leather glove. Black runes have been burned into the material or carved into the metallic bits.

“Fancy new toy you have there.” Alratha says, “Indeed.” Catherine says, “Needed too. 19 you say? Think we can take them on?” Alratha chuckles and juggles her dagger, “They don’t have a mage from what I saw. The only knight among them is Tienal the rest are either soldiers or scouts. So, yeah we can **** them if we take a few of the slaves with us.”

“How about capturing them?” Alratha has to think about that for a bit longer. “No, we can defeat them using the moment of surprise and Tienal’s betrayal. But capturing them, impossible. Half of them, maybe.”

Catherine taps on the workbench behind her. “…What if we poison them?” she asks after a few minutes. “That could work. Tzinthar?” Alratha responds with a teeth-revealing grin. Catherine shakes her head, “Nephtar.” “That will only put them to sleep though.”

Catherine looks at her new glove, “That is all that I need.” Alratha snickers, “Ominous. Okay then I will pass the poison to Tienal and she can throw it into the soup or something. I will get you after I have confirmed that the poison has been administered.” Alratha disappears back through the doorframe and leaves Catherine alone.

A few minutes later Catherine enters Uklag’s bedroom. “There you are.” Aelana says angrily. She is still pissed off about the loss of her privileges. Analea seems more content with the situation, then again the white-haired succubus is always calmer than her sister is.

“Here I am. I need to take some of your slaves with me later tonight. Want to come with me too?” Aelana tilts her head, “What are you going to do?” “Convince the search party that I am no threat at all.” Analea raises an eyebrow, “Catherine, I know you are gifted but even you can’t use mind breaking yet. At least not at the level required to pull a whole search party over to your side.”

Catherine raises her gloved hand, “Normally you would be right but this little something reinforces my ability. Of course it will take about thrice the amount of strength Uklag uses and a lot more time but over the course of, let’s say, eight to nine hours I should be able to pull it off.”

The twins raise their left eyebrows, ““Sounds like you want to attack them at night.”” “I do.” “”For what would you need us then?”” “Security.” Aelana chuckles, “Okay, I will come, but don’t come crying when I bite you in the neck.” Analea gives her sister a light clap at the back of her head, “Sorry, Catherine, we will do as you ask.” She apologizes and Catherine leaves again.
