Which group do we follow?

Catching up with Sophia at the police station

While Anthony shut the blinds to cover the broken window and clean up inside, Ursula called into the police station. She put on her best concerned voice and told a tale about having found Sophia acting oddly and finding **** in her purse. From there came a tale where Sophia was saying "all sorts of crazy things". She asked that if someone found her to hold her until they can come and pick her up.
"Of course, Ursula," Dispatcher Callaway said with a hint of a Scottish accent even after spending years in this country, "We haven't gotten any reports yet, but if I hear anything I'll -- wait, I see her walking in now. She looks shaken up. You'd better come in."

Sergeant Fulton had his hands face down trying to convey calm beyond his words, "Sophia, please, slow down. What happened at the bar. Slowly."
"These people. These... things. They came into the bar and then everyone... everyone started changing."
"'Changing'? Changing how?"
"Like, like," Sophia struggled to come up with an alternative word, but she accidentally let slip the most accurate word, "vampires."
Sgt, Fulton was taken aback. He kept his composure and asked, "Vampires? Like vampire vampires?"
Sophia knew that she sounded insane. There was no turning back. "I know what you're thinking. Maybe it's rabies. Maybe they are vampires. Whatever it is over a dozen people, including my parents, are infected."
"Okay, okay. We'll send someone out to the bar and take a look."
"No! You can't just send one person. Get the SWAT team."
"We're a small town. We've got 11 officers in total. There's no SWAT team."
"But, but, but it's not safe..."
Dispatcher Callaway walked over to Sergeant Fulton and whispered in his ear about Sophia's parents having called in.
"No, no, I believe you. We'll be incredibly careful. Before we act I need to know _everything _before we go after them,"
If Sophia were seeing this from the outside looking in it would have been obvious to her that the sergeant was just patronizing her. In her state having survived such a harrowing experience she appreciated any possibility someone believed her.

Twelve minutes of questioning in the interrogation room the sergeant went over all the now slightly calmer Sophia had told him. "And so all it takes is a bite anywhere on the body and eventually the person joins them. They are incredibly strong, resistant to injury except for your co-worker..."
"D-Dominic"
"Dominic, who got stabbed in the chest. They can climb walls and are obsessed with sex. Is that all?"
"That's all I saw."
"Well," the officer stopped as he saw Dispatcher Callaway's face through the glass in the interrogation room door. "Officer Callaway wishes to talk to you further."
"We can't wait any longer! My parents, the others, they are escaping to God knows where."
"Just a little more. Annabel?"
In a low voice she confirmed with her sergeant, "You've got the phones while I'm in here?"
"We're the only ones here, so I guess I'd better," he laughed. "Grant should be back from patrol in two hours." He made his way out.
"I shouldn't be that long." The officer turned to the scared young woman. "Sophia? When this whole thing started what were you doing at the time?"
"Like I told the sergeant as working at my parents' place."
"Good, now had you had anything to drink? Maybe took a swig for yourself before serving a customer?"
"WHAT?! No. You don't believe me."
"I believe that you believe it. It's ju--"
"Don't give me that bullshit. You know me. I wasn't drunk. I wasn't on ****."
"It's funny you said that. Your parents said..."
"My parents? You talked to my parents?"
"Yes. They closed up the bar to come and see you."
"No. Nonononononono. NO!"
When they walked in through the door she panicked like a rabbit in a fox hole. She jittered looking for any other exit, choosing to back up against the corner, as though those extra few inches would provide safety. She took off one of her heels and held out like a weapon. "Get back! Or I'll kill you like I killed Dominic!"
"'Killed' Dominic?" Ursula said with a heavy dose of surprise, "I sent him home early when you had your little... incident."
"I SAW YOU TWO! YOU'RE LYING!"
Dispatcher Callaway raised her voice to defuse the situation. "Sophia, STOP! Ursula, Anthony, STOP! Sophia what did you say they'd become? Vampires?" She turned to the parents, "Show me your teeth." The two without hesitation opened their mouths showing they didn't have fangs. "See, Sophia? Think about it. Does what you're saying make any sense?" Sophia shook her head. "Right, so let's all sit down and talk this out."

Very cautiously Sophia pulled out a chair and sat at the far end of the table. The other three followed suit. "Now there have been several accusations in both directions. We're all adults here." As Sophia told her story again and Ursula disputed it the officer noticed one glaring thing: Anthony hadn't said a single word. Annabel Callaway was familiar with Anthony. He was always gregarious, willing to chat your ear off like when the policemen's Christmas drive was held at his bar. What she didn't know was the storm brewing in his brain. He'd become mostly id, focusing almost entirely on sex, blood, and ****. Only his transformed wife had any control of her monster husband. Even with this control she told him not to say a word for fear of revealing themselves too early.

When it appeared that Sophia might possibly not trust her recollection of the events earlier that evening, Ursula excused herself to use the ladies' room. "You doing okay there, Anthony?" the officer inquired. He responded with a slight shrug.

Making her way to the front desk where the sergeant was going through some paperwork waiting to answer calls that weren't coming. "How's it going in there? The noise seems to have gone down a lot."
"It's tough. She's my baby. She'll always be my baby. It's... it's hard to see her going through this."
"I know you're a good mom. You'll get through it and so will she."
"I feel so guilty. There's a lot of -- I guess -- trouble at home. Can I trust you with a secret?"
"Ummm, of course."
"I think Anthony has been cheating on me. We get into fights all the time and maybe Sophia is sensing that and acting out. I'm a woman, damnit, and I have needs too." Ursula got up close to Sgt. Fulton as she said that. He was too much of a notorious horndog to notice how quickly the topic of conversation had changed. "I'm sure you know how to treat a woman, don't you?"
"Yeah," said the officer who had three semi-steady girlfriends at the time and thought he was God's gift to the whole sex. He looked to the closed interrogation door and then back to Ursula. She gave him the green light with just a look. He undid his belt and his pants fell down. They bunched between his ankles as she shoved him into the office chair just behind him. He knew he'd worry about what to tell Annabel about that chair. Foreplay was nowhere to be found as she straddled him where he sat.

"She's sure taking her time," remarked Annabel as they waited. There was another 30 seconds of awkward silence that was broken by Sergeant Fulton screaming out front. Anthony stood up, but Dispatcher Callaway demanded that he sit back down. He blocked the door and open his mouth wide. His fangs sprung forth to Annabel's shock. Quick-thinking, Dispatcher Callaway backed up to provide cover for Sophia who again was backed against the corner. She held up her taser, but he continued to move closer. She fired and it was a direct hit. He didn't flinch in the slightest. As the voltage coursed through him he grabbed the taser and cracked it with his fist. He put the officer in a **** hold with just one arm while grabbing his daughter with the other. The office collapsed to the floor. His daughter flayed about to try and get him to release her.

Ursula sucked the remaining blood from the officer sharing the seat with her.. She licked the last bits from her fangs though there was still small amounts around her mouth. She got up, dress torn open in the front by her new lover and went to see how the rest of her family were doing.
"ANTHONY!" she shouted as her husband was seconds away from biting into their daughter's neck. He stopped as instructed, the only one with the power to do so at that point. "We want to break her down, to savor and embrace this new life the way we have." He held her jaw open as Ursula used he taloned finger to slice open her wrist. Drops of her vampire blood dripped into Sophia's mouth. Despite rapidly exhaling and attempting to spit it out she consumed some of it. Once Ursula was satisfied with a wave of her hand she had Anthony release the young woman. Sophia had her palms face down on the table as she tried heaving up the swallowed fluid. None of it was coming out as she felt dizzier and dizzier. She then joined the dispatcher lying on the floor.

Sophia opened her eyes and didn't recognize where she was. She struggled to stand up. When she did she leaned against the wall for support. No idea how long she'd been out she pieced together where she was: The town's holding cell. The town was too small for a jail let alone a prison. A woman was splayed on the floor in only her bra and panties. Sophia didn't recognize her at first though looking up close it was clear that Dispatcher Callaway was deposited there as well. The young waitress ran to the door and started banging on it with an open hand. Her mother appeared at the small opening in the door.
"You've been very loud today, young lady. We're not letting you go until you take your medicine. That lovely redhead in there with you is that medicine. Once you take a bite we can be one happy fucking family."
"I'm never going to be a monster like you."
"I think you'll find that little monster inside you will be hard to ignore. And once you accept that you'll find things SO MUCH more fun. Don't hurry. The sergeant is awake and he and your father... well, I don't need to tell you."

Sophia got on her knees and started shaking Annabel. "C'mon, c'mon. Wake up! We have to get out of here. Is there an emergency latch or something?"
A groggy Annabel spit out, "Huh? What? Sophia, what's going on?"
"My parents locked us in here. You have to tell me how to escape."
"Your parents. Your parents are vampires?!"
"YES, I KNOW! And if we don't think of something quick we'll be joining them."
"OK, OK. There's nothing we can do. It's built to keep people in."
"Then we have to signal someone. Is there anyone within earshot that..." Sophia got distracted for a few seconds when looking at Annabel in all her glory. "That we could call to get help."
The officer was a little uncomfortable at how close Sophia was getting, "Uh, no. It's in the middle of the building. The only people who can hear us are in it."
Sophia in frustration sat on the floor against the opposite wall.

A few minutes later as the two women could hear the threeway going on 50 feet away. Annabel tried to break the tension, "It's a long shot, but I might have a plan. If I lay on the floor and you pretend that you bit me your mother will open the door. Then we can try to bust through. Sophia? Sophia?"
Sophia was only half-listening. Without realizing it she had her waitress uniform hiked up and was lazily rubbing herself over her panties.
"SOPHIA!"
"Wha'?! Oh sorry. Yes, escape. Go ahead an lie down like I just attacked you, then I'll call her."
Annabel got down, but instead of Sophia going to the door to call her mom she instead stopped down and got on top of her.
"What are you doing? If you call her like this you can't surprise her."
"It's fine," Sophia tried to convince her cellmate, "I just want to make it as real as possible."
The change in the woman's voice was unmistakable. "You can't do this. Fight whatever it is they did to you."
Sophia failed to sound rational when she explained, :"NO! You don't understand! It's clouding my mind. If we do this I'll be free to think of how to escape."
The aggressor ripped off the young officer's bra with a strength she'd never had before. Sophia marveled at Annabel's chest, as impressive as her own. No longer did Sophia see her beauty as something that cheapened her but something to share. As she rubbed her body violently against her captor's she still was convincing herself that this was a way to resist temptation, not submit to it. She had a last portion of clarity when she sincerely told Annabel, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry..." then as the smell of her own juices escaping her mixed with the smell of the policewoman's blood pulsing inches away that clarity was gone, "...sorry I didn't do this sooner." Her brand new fangs grew and took in their first of many meals.
