Catching more Pokemon

Blue caught a Weedle and a Pidgey on his way to Viridian, but just those two and a Squirtle aren't gonna cut it to beat all eight gyms and become Champion. He fumbles through his bag until he finds the rest of the empty PokeBalls that he bought this morning and stuffs them in his pocket.

Blue spends most of the afternoon wandering secluded corners of the forest looking for wild Pokemon. Most of the Pokemon you encounter are Caterpie and Weedle. Blue completely ignores them, though, looking for more rare Pokemon that would be worth his while. Throughout your time wandering the forest you hear many different trainers pass by, either looking for their own Pokemon to catch or some trainers to challenge. Thankfully either none of them notice you or care to challenge Blue. Twice you are interrupted as a female trainer is brought to what they think is an empty area of the forest to play out her punishment for getting beaten. Both times they quickly leave, but they also scare off the Pokemon that Blue had his eyes on at that moment.

By late in the day Blue is getting increasingly frustrated at his lack of success in finding any rare Pokemon. Several times you've heard the rustling of something larger just out of your reach but have never been able to catch up to any of them. Each of these almost-encounters only angers Blue further, and you can tell he's near his breaking point now.

"Ugh, screw this," he finally exclaims, way past the point where you originally expected him to give up. He storms off without another word, expecting you to just obediently follow behind him. Considering he's holding on to your Pokemon you have to follow him or risk being stuck by yourself in a dangerous forest. You just hope that he knows where he's going as you've never been in this forest before and won't be able to help if he gets lost.
