Cassie arrives

About half an hour later, Cassie knocked on the door. Spencer opened the door for his guest, finding Cassie wearing an orange floral sundress and a flustered look on her face.

"Hey."

"Come on in."

Cassie rushed into the house as she lugged her suitcase inside, following Spencer to the guest room. "Again, thank you so much Spence."

"No problem."

That's when Cassie's phone rang. She swore under her breath before pulling out the phone. Spencer left the room but her raised voice caused her drama to follow him. "For fuck's sake Brad, I'm sorry one of us is trying to further our career. It's called being a fucking adult. Maybe you could try it some time."

Inside his living room, Spencer began to drown out Cassie's tirade with TV. It hadn't even been ten minutes and he was already regretting his choice to help Cassie out. Beyond her shouting match with her boyfriend, the fact she had a boyfriend was somewhat disappointing, although not unexpected considering how attractive he found Cassie.

About a half hour later, Cassie came out of the room. "Sorry about that Spencer. I know that was kinda rude."

"It's okay." Spencer said as he turned down the volume on his TV. "Do you want something to eat?"

"You know, I might actually have a drink?"

"Feel free to help yourself to the fridge."

"Thanks Spence."

Once Cassie got herself a drink, she sat down next to Spencer. "I know that wasn't a great first impression."

"It's okay Cassie. Really."

"I've just... fuck. Ever since I got the offer to do my work experience here, it's been non-stop fighting."

"That sounds really unfair on you."

"I know right? I'm truly pursuing my passion as he sits down doing minimum wage slavery."

"Well, you need to do what's right for you Cassie."

"I know. I just wish he'd be more supportive." Tears began to well up in Cassie's eyes.

"Maybe you want to do something to get your mind off it?"

"Like what?"
