Chapter 3 by Hypnomonkey Hypnomonkey

Who found it first?

Cardin Winchester

It was the average day at Beacon academy.

Get up, eat break, go to class, eat lunch, more class, homework, dinner, bed. That was the basic schedule. Tranquil. Calm.

And to Cardin's mind, boring.

As he roamed the grounds after his final class of the day, looking up at the chirping birds soaring through the sky, and the other Huntsmen and Huntresses in training as they zipped around, Cardin started to feel a particular sense of... Dread.

"This seriously can't be all there is to this Huntsman crap, right? Class after class after class, almost never getting to actually DO anything... And it doesn't even seem as impressive as when I was a kid. I thought chicks would be all over me but..."

He looked around again. Looking towards the dining hall, he saw the girls of team RWBY sitting at a table through the window.

"Like come on. The spicy blonde? The quiet chick with the bow? Hell at this point I'd even take the frigid bitch or the obnoxious brat" he huffed. Next looking onwards to a bench where he saw the members of team JNPR sitting.

"Ugh. Arc's worthless ass. But those two... Nikos I'd take in a heartbeat. I'd even settle for that sugar rush with tits at this point" he huffed as he looked over Pyrrha and Nora.

This... Sucked.

That is, until something caught his eye. A small book mangled into the shrubs next to the school.

"Huh. Someone dropped something. Heh. Could be fun if it's a diary."

He snatched the book up and began looking it over. A leather-bound tome with the words "The Book of Reality" emblazoned across the front in golden letters"

He opened to the first page, a bit curious, where he saw the following written on the inside cover.

Rules

  • Whomever touches this book is it's sole owner until such time as they relinquish ownership. Only their writing will have an effect, and to all others this will appear as a blank notebook.

  • The owner of this book may write any changes to reality they desire. Changes can only be undone by writing something contradictory to them; handle with care.

  • If the owner wishes to target a person, place, or thing in specific, they must know it's official designation within their world.

  • Changes will be noticed unless otherwise specified.

  • Should the owner write something which would make the book unusable by them, what they have written will not come to pass.

  • This book cannot be destroyed. A purposeful attempt at destruction counts as forfeiture of the book.

Cardin couldn't believe it. What kind of dumb prank was this? It was almost laughable. Still he sort of wanted to try it. If it really worked... Maybe he could finally get the respect he deserved around here.

How does he test the book out?
