Broken

Take gestures for Gako and Malphiel to move away from her and she takes aim at the Breaker with her bow intending to lure him towards the cultists. However before she can fire the Breaker acts. The chain around his right arm suddenly lashes out and wraps around Gako's throat, dragging her towards him. She's too surprised to even struggle and he easily pulls her towards him and then with his hands he opens the stockade and slams it around her head and hands catching her inside of it, before holding her up with the stockade. She struggles, but can't get free, her legs dangling as she's lifted off the ground. Take opens fire, but the arrow simply hits Gako as she's held in front of him. She screams in pain and Breaker chuckles, enjoying the sound of her pain.

He does indeed focus on Take now, attacking at first by swinging the chain and ball at her. She barely dodges as it slams down where she was. She lands and he comes barreling towards her. She braces as he lifts Gako and the stockade and attempts to slam both down at Take. Take cloaks and moves out of the way near to the last second and Breaker is left surprised and confused as his target has simply vanished.

At this moment he notices the injured cultists. Take regroups with Malphiel behind him and they wait watching what he'll do with the cultists. He begins to laugh horribly before raising one foot and crushing the skull of the first cultist before starting to gleefully stomp on them, crushing them into paste with enjoyment. Malphiel and Take are horrified and both take aim. An arrow stabs into his back and Malphiel's Angelic Ray sears through his side, but he simply ignores the damage. Letting them even hit him again, but to seemingly no affect.

At this point he seems to be done though and he turns to the two of them and begins to approach. Blood leaks from the injuries on his body, but while he's clearly injured, he just seems to ignore or even be unable to feel the pain of his injuries.

They ready further attacks, but again Gako is now held between them. Her body along with the stockade has been used as a bludgeon and she's clearly in pain, but the two don't want to risk hurting her further. Breaker lashes out with his chains again. Take manages to dodge, but the second chain sweeps and hits Malphiel. Her chain mail negates a lot of the blow, but she's still slammed against the wall. He leaps towards her and tries to slam the Stockade down on her as she's unsteady. The Stockade slams down against her and she cries out in pain as it and Gako's beaten form slam into her.

Take shoots him again, but again to no avail as he continues to gleefully beat on Malphiel. Take swears and runs forward, she needs to protect Malphiel. She body checks the Breaker, it's not elegant or even very effective, but he stumbles and turns to her, which gives Malphiel time to flee.

Take dodges a swing of the stockade and staggers back over to where Malphiel had fled. They are now both by the exit of the cave. "We need to run," Take says.

"But Gako-" Malphiel argues.

"We can't save her if he beats us. We need to retreat. We'll beat him and save her at a later time," Take commands and Malphiel hesitates and nods.

Breaker attacks again with his chains, but Take and Malphiel both avoid them and flee from the cave.

The sound of Gako's horrified cries as she's abandoned and the mocking laughter of the Breaker follow them.

They stop back in the split path that leads to the cave, the rest area or forward to the unknown. Both feeling pretty disheartened.
