Big Trouble in little green town

After finding the soccer ball the pair played outside for a bit and talked about how much school sucked, what sports they liked, and which superhero was the best, before their talk turned to video games they enjoyed. Darrien's favorite were fighting games and he was shocked to learn that Sarla's mother banned fighting of any sort. Even in video games. So of course Darrien invited Sarla to his room to play them.

Nearly an hour later, Mary returned home, put the groceries away and smiled hearing the giggling sounds of her son from upstairs. Until she heard an unfamiliar laugh join in followed by a thud. Hurrying upstairs to her son's room she opened the door and saw the little green monster sitting next to her son. They were both shoving each other and calling each other names but they were laughing. "Darrien...w-who's your friend?" The little green monster turned around, it's pointy ears twitched, its blood red eyes glared at her as it snarled angrily.

"This is Sarla! He's my new friend." Darrien cheered and returned to his game.

"S-sarla?"

"Yes." It growled without turning its attention from the tv.

"Do, do, your parents know where you are?" Were they here already?! Waiting to feast on their bones?

"No ma'am." Sarla frowned, standing up. "I should let my mom know before she calls out the **** squad." '**** squad?!' Mary shrieked internally.

"Ah man!" Darrien cried, "you're still coming over tomorrow right?"

"We'll have to see, sweetheart." Mary interrupted quickly.

"I already invited him to the cookout tomorrow!"

"Invit-?"

"Sarla!!" A deep, echoing shout all but rattled the walls.

"That's my mom! I gotta go!" Sarla picked up the soccer ball, running passed Mary, but stopping and turning back, "Thank you for having me." Sarla bowed before running downstairs and outside.
