Between Zack and Vicky on the lookout-point

While Ashley followed Chloe out of the water, so did Zachary too as he felt that he'd had enough swimming for now. On his way up he realized somebody else was already missing though, and he caught but a quick glimpse of her as she disappeared on a trail in the woods, which caused him to stop and try and see where she was going.

"She said she wanted to look around a bit." Ashley informed him, as she noticed where he was looking at, and flashed him a quick smile before continuing up towards the beach and Chloe. "I told her there's a viewpoint up that way, so she grabbed her stuff and went looking..."

"I pictured you'd be joining her then..." He replied - a little more dryly than he'd intended -, which caused her to blush ever so slightly, and in turn made him feel like an asshole for coming up with a leading comment like that. "I'm sorry... That really didn't come out as I wanted it to."

"Nah, it's okay." The blonde smiled at him generously, but couldn't stop chewing softly on her lip in embarrassment. He was certainly right to asume she'd love to be taking any chances for some private time with Victoria, though currently she was afraid of buggering her old friend by being by far too pushy around her. "But...I think she's better off without me for now. And I do have a few things I'd like to talk with Chloe about as well..."

"Oh...?" Now it was Zack's turn to blush a little as he could hear the tone in her voice, which was somewhat similar to the one he'd been using himself. Whatever she intended to bring up with his old friend, he decided it would be better for him to keep himself way out of it. "Well, I guess I'll just go have a look at this viewpoint myself..."

"Yeah, it's a nice place!" Ashley agreed, even as the mention of it also brought back memories from what happened between herself and Kurt up there. It felt like ages ago now, though it was actually just a couple of days, and suddenly it made her wonder how everything would've turned out if she'd actually went with what the other guy wanted of her. Considering how things turned out anyway, she couldn't help but feel like it wouldn't have mattered so much after all...

But then again, Kurt hadn't been such a good friend of her's, and he'd actually lied her straight up in the face to get her where he wanted her to...

"Hey...!" She started saying as she saw the guy turning to head towards the trail instead of continuing up the beach, but interrupted herself as she realized what she was thinking - and that Zachary wasn't actually like Kurt at all. So instead she just smiled at him timidly when he glanced back at her over his shoulder - telling him not to bother Victoria too much -, even as she felt a sudden pang of jealousy at the thought of somebody else getting the chance to be all on their own with that sweet and sexy little blonde...

Meanwhile, Vicky herself had just reached the summit of the nearby hill, and found herself slightly out of breath after the short but steep climb up the winding trail. Thus the wooden benches were a welcome sight to her - just like her friend had described them -, as she was already pretty beat after all the swimming around in the water.

She should really get herself a little more exercise she figured, to be a little more fit like the other girls in the group, though it wasn't quite what she had in mind for now. So instead she sat herself down on one of those benches - wrapping her towel around her slender shoulders -, and then opened up her phone to start tapping away at the short story she'd started this morning, before the group woke up and decided to head out to the lake for the day.

She'd just barely started writing though, when she noticed someone else having followed her up the trail, and caused her to curse a little as she'd really had the inspiration to keep on writing undisturbed. It wasn't Ashley who showed up however, like she'd assumed it to be, and she felt surprisingly relieved to find it was Zachary who'd followed her.

"Damn, that was a rough climb...!" The guy seemed just as out of breath as she'd done herself, though he managed to regain it rather quickly once he'd reached the table she was sitting at. Then he sat himself down on the other side of it, but was considerate enough to keep from talking when he noticed she was busy typing on her phone, and he seemed to enjoy just sitting there and looking at the treetops below them while she tried to finish the last couple of sentences on the page.

"What are you writing anyways...?" He eventually just had to ask her of course, once he noticed that she seemed to be done for now, and caused her to hesitate while she looked for a valid answer. "You're not doing school-work while on vacation, are you...?"

"Not for now at least!" She smiled at him, as friendly as she could manage, and found herself wondering if he could possibly know about his old friend Gavin's interest in this kind of writings. In case he didn't there was no reason to give him away though, and after some quick consideration she simply handed the phone over to let him read the last page she'd written for himself. If he recognized the site she figured that she'd be able and notice right away, and perhaps be able to act accordingly, while the current thread she was writing on wasn't full of smut like many others beside it. "It's a... collaborate story, you could say..."

"Oh?" Zack looked at her curiously, and then started reading the page after frowning slightly at what she supposed was the name of the site. So he recognized it then, but apparently hadn't checked it out for himself, as it didn't cause the kind of reaction she'd almost come to expect. "I think I saw Heather writing something on here a while ago... Are you working on something together?"

"No, not really..." She told him truthfully, though she could feel her cheeks heating up a little at the thought of what Heather had actually been adding to the same story - but in a line that was parallel and very different from her own. She didn't feel the need to explain how it all worked to him though, but figured that the less he knew, the less he'd be inclined to check out the rest of their threads...

And if he did get overly curious, she'd just have to find a way to deal with it then...
