Betrayal?

Up in the office , Cortney McElroy, dirty blonde hair, shoulder length and glasses, works on some paperwork for principle Bryce Melton. He has medium length dark naturally curly, a treemed beard and wears glasses.Down the hall, Sarah paused mid-step, her head tilting as if hearing something no one else could. Rachel materialized beside her, from the shadows their fingers intertwining seamlessly. "She's fighting it," Rachel murmured, her breath cool against Sarah's neck.

Rachel’s lips curled into a slow, knowing smile as she tightened her grip on Sarah’s hand. “Libby won’t like this,” she murmured, her voice a velvet whisper. “She chose Hannah for us. Handpicked her.” Sarah’s crimson eyes gleamed under the flickering hallway lights. “Then we’ll remind her,” she purred, running her tongue over her teeth. “Gently… at first.” Back in the classroom, Katie’s hand rested on Hannah’s shoulder, but the air between them had grown heavier, charged with something unseen.

The fluorescent hum of the security monitors washed over Principal Melton’s face as he leaned forward, his fingers steepled beneath his chin. On screen, Sarah and Rachel stood unnaturally still in the empty hallway, their clasped hands pale as bone against the shadows. Bryce’s thumb hovered over the intercom button—then froze as Rachel’s head snapped up toward the camera. Not at it. Into it. Her lips moved. Bryce’s blood turned to ice. The audio feed crackled—a wet, whispering static—and then Rachel’s voice, impossibly clear: "We see you too." The screen fizzed to black.

His hand trembled as he pulled it away from the console. Vampires. In my school. The thought should have been absurd—but the way Rachel had looked into the camera, the way her voice had slithered through the speakers… Bryce reached for his phone, fingers dialing the one person who might believe him. --- Down the hall, Sarah’s head snapped toward the office, her grin widening. “He knows,” she whispered.

The intercom system shrieked with feedback before dying completely, leaving Principal Melton's office in suffocating silence. His hand hovered over the phone, knuckles white around the receiver, when the door creaked open behind him. Courtney stood frozen in the doorway, a stack of files slipping from her arms. "Bryce? The—the lights in the east wing just—" Her words died as she took in his ashen face, the security monitors buzzing with static. Courtney's glasses slid down her nose Elsewhere the next classes are starting, and in one of them is Destiny McElroy, Cortney’s daughter, age 18, also has dirty blonde hair. The fluorescent lights above Destiny’s classroom flickered violently before snapping off entirely, plunging the room into darkness. A collective gasp rose from the students, followed by nervous laughter—until the sound of of the door cut through the noise. Destiny’s breath hitched Across the room, a chair screeched backward. "Who the hell—?" a boy’s voice demanded, then choked off. No muffled by something.

Then the glowing crimson orbs appeared. Two pinpricks of blood-red light hovered in the blackness near the doorway, pulsing like embers in the dark. The laughter died. Someone whimpered., the boy, her now was by the door with what ever those lights are.

The crimson orbs drifted forward, cutting through the darkness like twin blades. Destiny's pulse hammered in her throat as the glow illuminated Rachel’s face emerging from the shadows. As thr emeangy lights kick on Behind her, Sarah stepped into the classroom, her fingers trailing along the wall with a slow, deliberate scrape of nails against cinderblock. The door slammed shut on its own. "Pop quiz," Rachel purred, her voice honey-sweet and laced with venom. "Who here believes in monsters?" A whimper came from the back row., thats when destiny notice the teacher was gone as well as the student from before.

The classroom air thickened— Destiny’s fingers dug into her desk as the students around her swayed like reeds in a slow, hypnotic rhythm. Their eyes—wide and glassy—reflected the pulsating crimson glow from Rachel and Sarah. Rachel’s lips curled, revealing needle-sharp teeth. “Look at them,” she murmured to Sarah. “Like lambs ” One by one, the students stood, their movements eerily synchronized. Destiny’s breath came in shallow gasps.

Libby appeard inftint of the class, her silhouette framed by the flickering emergency lights. Her dark eyes locked onto Rachel first, then Sarah, before sliding to the paralyzed students—their bodies swaying as if pulled by unseen strings. "I didnt order you two to do this..the queen would be duspleased ," Libby said, her voice quiet but razor-edged. Rachel’s grin widened. "Oh, Libby," she crooned. "We were just getting started., mmmm...as fir your mom, i think she be very please, after all it was her that did simalr to me and you before" Sarah’s fingers twitched, and Destiny gasped as the air thickened, pressing against her lungs like a weight. "But one did escape the spell of our eyes sister" cues Rachel.

The fluorescent lights flickered back to life with a harsh buzz "You forget your place," Libby hissed, her voice like winter wind through dead branches. Rachel chuckled, running a finger along Destiny’s trembling shoulder. "Oh, we remember exactly where we stand." Sarah’s grin widened as she stepped forward, her shadow stretching unnaturally long across the floor. "And we know you can’t stop us alone." Destiny’s breath caught as the classroom door burst open—Principal Melton stood there, his face pale but determined, clutching something silver in his fist. "STAND DOWN!" he yelled.
