Being Kara

"What do you mean?" Camilla becomes audibly more worried.

"I mean...I can't go back...yet? Why does that sound right?" You hold your head trying (and failing) to think of an answer.

The captain sets a hand on your thigh. "Everything's fine though, right? You don't really seem too worried..."

"Yeah, and that's what's worrying me. I guess Kara knew something about this, since I think she's calm about it all, but I can't tell what she knows at all."

Silence falls for a moment, before Camilla begins chuckling. It's only a few moments before she's outright laughing. "Oh...oh, that's good." She wraps her arms around you. "You don't have to worry, then. Kara's just having some harmless fun with you."

The hug is much warmer than you expect, but you chalk that up to Kara's overwhelming feelings for Camilla. "W-what'd you mean?"

The brunette releases you and sits back up proper. "She's kind and caring, and occasionally a bit crazy, but the one thing you can expect above everything else? She's a prankster at heart. She and her mom love messing with people, despite her 'prim and proper' nature. If anything, it means she's really accepted you. You'd think sharing her soul would be enough for that, but I guess they're the same thing, here." She sets a hand on your shoulder. "If Kara knows what's happening, then it's nothing to worry about, okay?"

You breathe a sigh of relief. "Okay, if you say so." Being a trickster makes sense for a kitsune. I'm kind of surprised she didn't try to do anything before now. "Thanks, Cammy." You lean your head against her shoulder, feeling quite content the moment you do. "Damn Kara's emotions, geez..." You giggle. "If I'm not careful, I might get addicted to this feeling."

"Heh, I guess I can indulge you for now." Camilla's hand reaches up and begins patting your head. "I guess it makes a bit more sense why she was a fan of headpats."

You hum. "How come I never saw you pat her head before?"

"It wasn't really something that came up, and we didn't really do it too much, either. Now though, I guess it's gonna be happening more often." She chuckles.

"I guess that means I'll need to find out how to possess Kara more often." You giggle.

She scoffs. "Oh, don't you start. You possessing me is already enough to worry about."

"Getting jealous? That doesn't suite you, Cammy." You snuggle a bit closer to her. "But I can't say I wouldn't mind possessing you more if you asked." You giggle. "According to you, I can speak for Kara right now, so I can say she'd be up for it."

She's unexpectedly silent at that, but you don't mind. The two of you spend some time like that before she brings up something: "Are you still able to use your own abilities? Like God's Eye or any of your other magic?"

"Huh, I didn't think about that." You sit up and activate the suggested skill, targeting 'your' girlfriend. "Yeah, I can still use it. Oh, maybe I could use it to find out what's going on?" You target your **** body, quickly zipping to the 'active effects' section.

Soul Acclimation (7:43:12 remaining): You have absorbed either a whole soul or a fragment of one from a living person. This can manifest as a number of effects, including possession, channeling, and physical or mental changes to become more similar to the absorbed soul. In most cases, these effects end as the relevant souls settle, but can persist with external magical influence.

Well, that's reassuring. "Looks like this will fade by morning. I'm guessing Kara and her parents knew this would happen, but decided to let us panic a bit first. In the meantime," you tightly hug the captain, "I should probably get home." You release her and stand up, glancing at your body. "Do you mind if I leave 'me' here tonight? I think we could carry me to Garth's if we tried, but it would look pretty weird, if I'm being honest." You nervously chuckle.

"Yeah, I'll just toss you on the floor or something." She stands up, chuckling. "Before you go though, I have a favor to ask."

"Anything," you blurt out before you can even think.

Instead of asking the favor, she leans in and kisses you, pushing your head down. Once more, you melt as she wraps you in her embrace. When your lips part, she speaks softly to you. "Goodnight, Kara."

"Okay, that's cheating." You jokingly poke her chest as you back away. "By the way, I don't think you need to ask a favor to kiss your girlfriend." You giggle as you conjure up the basic illusion that disguises Kara's ears and tails before opening the door. "Goodnight, Cammy." You close the door behind you and lean against it, nearly sliding down. "You are so fucking lucky, Kara. I've never felt like this in my life, and you've got it all sorted out before you're even an actual adult..." You sigh, before standing back up and walking to 'your' home for the night.

Camilla stares at the **** man on her bed. Why am I thinking about this? She pinches her nose and sighs. It's just tonight. I'll wake up before him and he'll never even know... The captain doffs her plain clothes, leaving only her underwear and rather loose wrappings around her slightly expanded busom. I'm really doing this... She lays in the bed, her back to the other person. Hesitantly, she takes the arms and wraps them around her front. I guess...it might be nice...

You're glad you finally get to Kara's house. It still feels like someone's going to call me out as an imposter any minute... You realize as you're opening the door that you should have knocked, before also realizing that you're not 'you', right now. "Mother, Father, I'm back." You spot the pair washing and drying the dishes in a bucket as your little brother eats some of the leftovers. Kara's brother, not mine.

"Welcome back, Kara, Dusk." Mothe-Miki answers calmly, as if she either predicted you'd return, or could sense that you did.

"Kara! Billy and I saw a deer today!" Connor pushes himself up with his hands on the table.

"Did you now?" You kneel down in the seat you'd sat in for dinner and pick up a washcloth and plate, as if you'd been helping with the routine your entire life. "And how far did you go into the forest to see that?"

He quiets down at that, glancing at the matriarch. "Uh...only a little bit..."

Miki picks up the conversation. "Connor, we will discuss that later. For now: Dusk, how are you doing?"

You look to her. "Well, I was a bit surprised by the change, if I'm being honest. It would have been nice to know about this going into it. If I had done this in the morning, we might be suffering from another hornet attack soon." You chuckle nervously, noting a pit forming in your gut.

She smiles amusedly as she hands a clean but wet dish to Kaguya. "I did tell you to do it sooner, rather than later. However, now that you have officially joined the family, we need to set a precedent. Right now, you are my daughter, and you will address me with the respect my daughter should. Furthermore, we will need to begin a more serious training regiment tomorrow. How does noon sound? We can meet behind the house after you possess Kara again."

Connor speaks up. "Kara's being possessed tomorrow? Didn't you tell us that we're never supposed to do that unless we really really trust someone?"

Miki turns to her son. "I did, and you wouldn't be able to tell like your father and I can, but she's being possessed right now."

You nod. "And, if I may Mother, what do you mean about me possessing her again?" You set down one of the final dishes, folding up the washcloth you'd been using as you look to the matriarch.

"Because you now hold her dominant hoshi no tama, you will find that you're able to possess her for certain periods of time. She will still be able to resist it if it's particularly bad timing, but it will still be difficult for her to do so. This possession does not seem to be like the one you share with Camilla. Kara will have no conscious influence on you, but instead her emotions, habits, and perception will become your own while she sits in the back of your mind. I'm sure you've already discovered this, though." She slyly smiles.

You giggle. "I can't say I haven't." Even if I thought it was temporary overall, based on what God's Eye said.

"In any case, you should still be able to access some, but not all of your own natural ability. This seems to vary from person to person, and requires trial and error to discover the limits of. As for...your place here..."

Kaguya steps in. "For all intents and purposes, according to our heritage, you may treat Kara's body as if it were your own whenever you possess her. We are your parents, Connor is your brother, Camilla is your girlfriend, and so on. However, if we could make a request, please refrain from...indulging yourself, at least until Kara is able to enjoy some personal time with Camilla."

'Your' cheeks flush at the implications, not only of you masturbating in Kara's body, but also of Kara herself having 'personal time' with yo-her girlfriend. You shake your head. "O-of course."
