Behind the curtains

You walk to the curtains, positioning yourself behind them perfectly so that not a single inch of either shoulder is visible. This should work great! The curtains are thick enough that you won’t be seen through them, and Elaine would never suspect that you could fit behind them so easily. She underestimates your slenderness! Of course, you also can’t see through them, so you’ll be limited to hearing while you hide, which is kind of spooky…

Elaine enters the living room and lets out a sigh at once. You wonder what has her sighing already. Is she frustrated at how hard it is to find you? Hehehe, it’s only to be expected of an expert hider like yourself.

Suddenly, two hands grip your shoulders over the curtains and twirl you around, wrapping you in the curtains like a snug cocoon. “Mmph! Uulaine!” you cry, words muffled by the fabric surrounding you.

“Oh poor, cute, clueless Chloe,” starts Elaine. You’re completely blind like this, but you can hear her voice coming from right next to your face and it gives you chills. “You honestly didn’t realize your feet were peeking out from under the curtains?”
