Becky goes North, following the pelts

As the light grew brighter to the north, the furs grew in quality, coming from larger and more dangerous looking animals. Becky made her way down the path with caution equal to that which had brought her here. The fancier pelts were likely trophies from some of the tribes greatest warriors, or perhaps even their chieftain. Becky knew that Gnoll tribes often operated on a system whereby the only qualification to lead was physical prowess; it was likely that their leader was also their greatest warrior.

If Becky could get a look at what lay at the end of the path, it would probably give her a good idea of what kind of power the strongest of the Gnolls were working with. From there, it would be much easier for her and Fuu to figure out how careful they would need to be in their attack.

Becky made it a good down the chamber, noticing that it went up at a slight incline, which seemed to be growing steeper the deeper she went, truly climbing up into the belly of the cave. With the torches growing more frequent and the lights growing brighter, Becky felt confident that she was on the right path to reach the chieftain. She was stopped in her path, however, when she spotted a pair of Gnoll guards stationed further up the path she was traveling, blocking her progress as they stood in front of a heavy, iron door. The two Gnolls were dressed far more heavily than the previous Guards she had encountered, and were nearly one and a half times their size, towering over Becky. They wore heavy plate armor, with chain mail to protect their other vital areas.

This was a significant obstacle to Becky's exploration. It was hard to say if she'd be able to push open that heavy iron door if the guards weren't in front of it, and she felt confident that she wouldn't be able to do so without them noticing. Their heavy armor made it unlikely that she would be able to take them out easily either. Her dagger would have a hard time getting through plate armor and, while she might find a gap in on of their armors, the other Gnoll would almost certainly notice.

Becky could try and push on somehow, but her options were limited.
