Barbara Torch gives her rude congratulations

When you return from Turnbuckle with Fay, the Warden pulls you aside to hear about your intentions for a special concentration in your studies.

"Potions, Enchantments, Divinations, Transformations," Barbara Torch says. "Very well. For you both?"

"I'm to work with the first-years," Fay said. "Teach them a little discretion to go with their valour. Or the other way round if that's their need. And I'm to be Morgan's test subject if she needs, for Granny Threadneedle's learnings."

Barbara Torch chuckles gently. "You precious little pair of fuck-ups," she says.

Fay blushes pink from collar to ear tips. But she raises her chin and squares her shoulders with pride. "Thank you, Warden."

That gets a deep, loud laugh out of Barbara Torch. She ventures a mild slap on Fay's bum. "Well done, ladies."

Emily Leopard pops up like a junior edition of the Warden, dark and solid at her core, dressed in a fitted red and gold dueling suit like Barbara Torch prefers, and striding with the same caged-beast energy.

"Extra lesson?" Emily says brightly. She leaves with the Warden in tow.

Fay nods. "Leopard is her real pet scholar. We were just her toys because of Lolo."

The two of you proceed to the Tutor's office with Granny's letter for Preston Sharper.

You hope it won't be too much trouble to make it back to Granny's hexed hut. The horny village lads and more biddable young centaur stallions get to Granny's somehow.
