Robert asks for Help

Author's Notes: combining my Oracle rolls together I have decided that Robert needs help Rescuing/Avenging his Allies. His allies which are being guarded and/or were defeated by, something "mystical". He can't offer much in the way of a reward except for favors in the future (support of an ally).

Robert turns on the bed, putting his feet onto the ground but continues to sit. He gives Brandy a smile as he starts to tell his story. "Well, you see." Robert leans forward and tries to give Brandy his most charming smile. "Me and some of my friends, fellow Adventurers, were..."

Deciding that he doesn't want to tell her everything, AND that he wants to flirt with her a bit (Lecher Defect) Robert decides to lay on the charm. Rolls [Skill (social) vs Brandy]. Randy rolls 2d6+3(social) vs Brandy 2d6-2(unaware/oblivious).

Robert gets a 7(4+3) vs Brandy with a 9(11-2). Looks like the DICE Gods are not on Roberts's side today.

What were they doing?

"were escorting some fool with too much money through the wilderness. Normal body guard stuff, should have been an easy payday. Except we got ambushed."

Brandy then interrupts Robert's story with a question. "But wasn't that what you were hired to do?"

Trying to save some face, Robert answers. "I mean, yes. But there is only so much you can do when you are outnumbered."

"Oh, so you ran." Brandy is still smiling, but it doesn't take a genius to know that she is judging him.

Now embarrassed, Robert coughs a bit. This conversation was not going as well as he hoped. "It wasn't like I ran at the first sign of trouble. My injuries prove that." Robert gives Brandy another smile, hoping to lay on the charm at least a little bit. "You have my thanks for saving my life by the way."

Oblivious to the fact that Robert is trying to flirt with her, Brandy simply smiles back at Robert. "Think nothing of it." She appears thoughtful for a bit before asking. "Might I ask, who attacked you?"

"It would be better to ask what." This gets Brandy's attention. Robert leans forward as if to whisper and Brandy leans forward herself in response. This gives Robert a perfect view down the front of her armored dress, and of her tits. Robert only glances for a second, not wanting to make it obvious that he was checking her out. Whispering to her now, Robert continues his story. "We were ambushed by a group of savage orcs. Now normally it shouldn't have been a problem. Except at least on of them could use magic."

Still leaning forward and whispering back, Brandy asks "Oh my, that does seem strange. What did you do?"

"Well, at first we fought back. But than I started seeing my friends falling to the ground, and not all of them dead. The mage seemed to be using some kind of spell to knock them out. So, I fought my out."

"You ran."

Trying to not let Brandy's comment get to him, Robert replies. "I went to go get help. I wasn't sure which direction I was running, but I remember seeing a building through the rain. I remember running towards the building, but I don't remember what happened next."

"Well Robert, since you don't seem to remember. You burst through the doors, took a few steps, and then collapsed. Thankfully I was there and was able to heal you before you bled out." The two of them sit there for a moment in silence before Brandy asks. "So, what will you do now?"

Robert shrugs. "I need to find some help. I can't exactly just leave my companions as prisoners, now can I?" Seeing an opportunity, Robert grabs onto Brandy's hands and looks deep into her eyes. "Could you perhaps lend me your aid? I am sure a strong, capable, and beautiful woman such as yourself, could be just the help I need."

Robert rolls again 2d6+3(social)+1(spends 10 energy) vs Brandy 2d6-2(oblivious). Robert gets a 9 vs Brandy's 6.

This time, Robert's charm works and Brandy finds herself blushing and stunned. Unsure what to do or how to reply she smiles back and gives Robert an awkward smile.
