Chapter 290 by Exarch-of-Sechrima Exarch-of-Sechrima

That's a good question.

Baby I'm a queen, so why do you call me baby?

“It’s so great to chat with you like this, Morgana!” Rose chirped. She had firm command over the wheel, and started picking up the speed of the bra cup.

Morgana gripped the edges of the cup with both hands, pressing her curvaceous body against the back of the ride. She should have reached forward to slow it down, but it was moving way too fast for that. She actually felt stable, and was terrified that if she moved even a little something would displace in her stomach and she’d throw up.

“Don’t worry,” Rose assured her. “I’m not going to go really fast. I just want to keep things at a nice, comfortable pace for us to chat!”

Morgana didn’t want to chat.

“…Why?” She mumbled out.

Rose didn’t answer her question. “You know, if you shut your eyes, you’ll probably feel a lot better,” she advised the goth. “Dawn was saying something about the inner ear thing, right? And your brain? It’s because it’s not processing the sensory overloady whatever?”

Rose’s grades in school were abysmal, and science was no exception to that.

But Morgana was willing to try anything at this point. She clamped her eyes shut, and to her surprise, that managed to help a lot. She didn’t feel nearly as affected by the spinning of the bra cup, and her stomach seemed to settle too.

Unfortunately, that also made her unable to defend herself against Rose. She was trapped on the ride with her eyes shut tight. The blonde could do whatever she wanted with her…

What Rose wanted was fairly simple, though.

“Tell me, Morgana, are you planning to have sex with Nick when it’s time for your night with him this round?”

Morgana’s eyes bulged open in shock, and she stared in horror at Rose. But she quickly realized how bad of an idea that was when she saw the sky spinning behind the blonde, and clamped her eyes shut again to keep from throwing up.

“I-I…”

“It’s a simple question,” Rose purred. “Are. You. Planning. To. Have. Sex?” She punctuated each word carefully and directly, her voice carrying over the whirl of the machine.

Of course, Rose knew that this was the furthest thing from a simple question. But of all the girls in Nick’s harem, Morgana was the biggest blank to her. She’d known the others for long enough now, and they were all simple and predictable in their own ways, save the difficult question that was Sylvia. And Morgana was similarly anomalous. She’d come onto the show fawning over Nick like an even bigger simp than Holly, but over the course of the round her feelings had cooled considerably. And in spite of two nights with him at this point, they hadn’t even had sex!

“You’re a virgin, right?” Rose didn’t need to be brilliant at reading people to figure that out. “Are you afraid? Is that it? Just nod your head if that’s it.”

Morgana was overwhelmed by the questions flying at her, and was afraid that if she opened her mouth she might start projectile vomiting. So she did as Rose asked and nodded her head.

“…But that’s not all, is it?” Rose narrowed her eyes. “Is there anything else?”

She slowed the ride down to help Morgana focus a little better.

“I… I don’t know how I feel about him,” the goth admitted, shaking her head. Her sweat-drenched face was turning even redder. “I like him… but… I don’t know how much. I like the attention… and everything on this show, it’s so… it’s so sexual…”

Morgana’s experience with sex had been relegated mainly to fantasizing. And now she’d been plucked out of the real world, and like Alice in Wonderland had been plopped into a world where all her wildest dreams seemed to come true.

“All the sexy stuff is probably overloading you, huh?” Rose said sympathetically. She shook her head. “Poor thing… but if it will make you feel any better, as someone who’s recently lost her virginity myself, I can tell you that it’s quite an experience.”

Morgana made a little yelp that brought an amused smile to Rose’s face.

She was fortunate that Sylvia had to sit this one out, because she could finally talk with the goth one on one.

In terms of Nick’s feelings for the other girls, Mary is undoubtedly the queen, the blonde mused as she watched the shuddering figure of Morgana try to keep herself under control. If I’m being generous, I would consider myself in second place… it’s either Gina or Dawn for third, can’t be sure… Kim would be next… but where does this one fall into things?

Rose needed to know whether or not Morgana would be a threat to her own standing in the harem. If she’s just a confused teen, there’s a chance she won’t fall for him. That would probably be the best-case scenario. Rose licked her lips. The less girls in Nick’s harem, the more there is to go around!

She had stars in her eyes as she pictured her perfect dream life with Nick. The two of them on the couch together just enjoying each other’s company while Mary hummed away in the kitchen, working with Holly to prepare food for everyone. It’s the perfect division of labor! Mary does all the boring domestic stuff she likes doing, while I get to reap the wifely rewards of Nick’s doting all for myself! Everyone’s happy this way! Ahaha! I’m such a clever girl!

To Rose, this was “sharing”.

“Rose… um…”

“Hmm?” Rose was brought out of her fantasy, and gasped. She’d been dreaming about the future so much, she’d completely forgotten to ease off on the wheel. And Morgana was looking pretty under the weather.

“Oh my gosh! Sorry! I wasn’t thinking!” Rose squeaked, tightening her grip on the wheel and pushing with all her might in the other direction, trying to slow it down. The machine started to grind and squeal like a car slamming on the brakes, but it did start to decline in speed.

Morgana breathed a sigh in relief. But she looked more like a corpse than ever.

“…Sorry,” Rose said lamely. The ride was still spinning, but at a nice, leisurely pace. The Carousel had been moving faster.

Morgana cracked open her eyes, and she gave Rose a look that the blonde found curious.

“…Do you… love him?”

Rose flinched in her seat and her eyes went wide.

“W-what?! Love, that’s… well, of course I do!” She stammered, her face turning red. She squirmed in her seat, thinking back to their date. It had only been a couple of days ago, but she felt like a part of her was still there, reliving those events even now. “I love him way more than anybody!”

Morgana found that hard to believe.

“Even Mary?”

“O-of course! Way more! Like… a million times more!” Rose exclaimed. “It’s like, Mary’s feelings for Nick are a tiny little tugboat, and mine are the size of the Titanic! That’s how much!”

Morgana shifted awkwardly in her seat.

“…Didn’t the Titanic sink though?”

“Y-you’re missing the point!” Rose accidentally punished Morgana with a sharp turn of the wheel, picking up speed. She needed something to distract her from the flurry of awkward emotions flying through her.

“R-Rose!” Morgana wailed.

Rose jerked it back to the original speed again and smiled apologetically. She hadn’t meant to do that. But the goth had clearly learned her lesson. Next time, she’d think twice before confronting Rose with historical facts!

“Anyway, my point is that I’m super-duper in love with him!” Rose asserted. “And he’s in love with me, too! I’m just number two for now, but just watch! I’m gonna keep going until he loves me the most! Mary got one over on me by being the first one to get married, but I’ll show her! I refuse to be number two! That’s the same as saying I’m just a piece of crap!”

When Rose got heated, her “class” had a habit of vanishing and being replaced with vulgarity.

Morgana felt like she was going to throw up again.

“…You’d rather be pee?” She asked, not sure what kind of analogy Rose was trying to make here. And frankly, she didn’t think Rose fully knew either.

“Not the point!” Rose asserted. “The point is that there’s a war on, you know! If Mary thinks that she can guard the coveted spot of being the closest girl to Nick’s heart, she’s wrong! Because when I play, I play to win!”

“Um… I don’t…” Morgana was really uncomfortable with this whole line of thinking. “I don’t think that’s right…”

Rose stared at her, confused. “Huh?”

“Wouldn’t… wouldn’t Nick like it better if you guys got along?” Morgana asked.

Rose still had no idea what she was talking about. “…This is me getting along with her,” she bluntly replied.

“…Oh… uh… okay…” Morgana didn’t really get it.

“It’s simple, simple, simple,” Rose tittered. “I realized it myself. Nick’s still a little uncertain about everything, and where everybody stands, and that’s why things are a little awkward with all of us right now. It doesn’t help that he’s chosen Mary as his wife, either. Just look at Dawn, see how confused she is?”

Morgana wasn’t looking at Dawn, or anywhere, really. She was just trying to keep from throwing up.

“We need to get along as a group,” Rose pointed out. “I mean… I know I’m a little… well, I’m not one to talk, given how much I messed with everyone’s relationships at first, but that was in the past! Now I’m working for the good of the group!”

“I, um…” Morgana knew that there had been some stuff with Rose before she joined the show, but she didn’t know any specifics. That was before her time.

“Don’t you think it would be better if we had some unity?” Rose asked. “If we could all get along and live in harmony in Nick’s harem?”

Morgana could imagine that. She had fantasies like that every day, honestly. She swallowed and nodded her head.

“Great! We’re on the same page!” Rose cracked a grin.

“So… why are you picking on Mary, then?” Morgana asked. She knew bullying, and what Rose seemed to be doing to the redhead seemed to be pretty close to crossing the line. “I thought you wanted, um… unity?”

“Yeah, obviously, but I gotta be the unity,” Rose bluntly replied.

Morgana’s jaw dropped. “Wait, so… you’re, what, you’re trying to bully Mary into giving you the number one spot!?” She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “But that’s so mean!”

“Bully? Who said anything about bullying?” Rose pouted. She squirmed a little, feeling herself heating up from Morgana’s words. “It’s not like I’m trying to put her down or anything, I’m just trying to get her to spread her wings a little, you know? And then she’ll realize that her natural place is subservient to me in the harem.”

Rose was a woman who fundamentally believed that she was superior, and that Nick would certainly understand that.

Why would she have to bully Mary? That was unthinkable! A cute woman like Mary needed to be coddled and protected, with some healthy teasing to help her grow!

Wow… and everyone thinks I’m the delusional one? Morgana stared at Rose’s proud expression with muted shock at having finally found someone with a more tenuous grasp on reality than her.

“So what about you then?” Rose asked, changing the subject from her role as the top of Nick’s harem. (Which was absolutely going to happen! For sure! After all, she was just that great and special and amazing!)

“M-me?!”

“Do you like him?” Rose pressed. “You want to marry him like Dawn and I? Or just be a side-piece like Carly? …Oh, wait, maybe a sex ****?”

“N-no!” Morgana shook her head frantically.

Rose raised her eyebrow. “Really? Because from what the other girls say about the dreams you keep giving them-”

“Th-those are just fantasies!” Morgana exclaimed. “I would never actually want to… well, you know, maybe I would…”

Her head was spinning even faster than the bra cup. She had drowned in fantasy for so long, but had finally started to get a grasp on her real feelings thanks to the help of Dawn and the Granger sisters. But now Rose was getting her all turned around again.

“Look, I…”

Rose slowed down the ride so Morgana could say her piece.

“I… I always… stuff like sex… it was always just in my imagination,” Morgana mumbled. “Back when I was in school, I never even talked to a boy before… or when I did, it was because I had to, not because anyone ever talked to me… I thought… well… I didn’t think… I never…”

She’d never imagined she’d come to a place like this.

“…That kind of stuff, it was just for my fantasies. I never thought I’d actually have a chance to live them out, you know?” She mumbled. “I expected to just be alone my whole life, without any boys ever noticing me. So I could fantasize all I wanted. But then I came here, and… it was all so real! And so I just…”

Morgana sighed and hung her head. She felt like throwing up again, only for an entirely different reason now.

“I still have those fantasies, but when I think about them actually coming true… when I think about actually having sex… I don’t know. I guess I’m… scared.”

She winced, waiting for Rose to scorn her or mock her. The blonde was a tease of the highest order, and even if there was no real malice behind her words, Morgana braced herself for the worst.

“Yeah… I understand,” Rose nodded quietly.

Morgana nearly fell out of the cup.

“Huh?!”

“Not about the really creepy, demented stuff you fantasize about, no, definitely not that,” Rose said quickly, shaking her head. “Like, some of your fantasies… girl. Get some help, please.”

“Um! Um, um, um!” Morgana’s mouth flopped open and closed. She wasn’t sure how to respond to that, to any of it. “I-I don’t think that’s really…”

“Okay, maybe I’m too judgmental,” Rose said, though she didn’t really think that was a bad thing. “But Morgana, I do know what it’s like to build up a fantasy in your head, and to be scared of the possibility of it coming true.”

Morgana stared at Rose in awe. “…Really?”

“No, of course not,” Rose scoffed. “I mean, come on. I make my fantasies come true! …I mean, besides the one where I star in a smash hit and win a bunch of awards, but that’ll come later. Hush! It will! I’m 23! I’m still plenty young to play a leading lady! Shut up!”

While Rose was having an argument with the strawman she thought Morgana was making, the goth just stared at her.

Finally Rose returned to reality and frowned. “…Look. I was uncertain too, about my first time. When I was with Nick, in that room… everything was perfect. I had everything I ever wanted, and I still wasn’t sure. And you’re probably feeling the same way, right?”

“Yeah…” Morgana nodded. “Something like that…”

Rose studied the goth carefully. “…But there WAS something I was sure about. And I think that’s the difference between the two of us. …Well, that, and our social skills. And our looks. And… okay, well, actually…”

“I-I get it,” Morgana mumbled, her face heating up. She wasn’t any happier about being compared to such a gorgeous woman either.

Rose sighed. “…Anyway. The thing I was sure of… what I was certain about more than anything, was… the boy. Nick. If you’re sure about that, then the rest, it doesn’t matter, if you ask me. I could do just about anything because I loved and trusted the man I was with.”

A warm smile spread across her lips as she remembered that night in the hotel room. It would stay with her forever.

But for Morgana, Rose’s words just brought more uncertainty.

“How… how did you know?” She asked quietly. “How did you know that you wanted to be with Nick? That he was the one?”

Rose sighed. “Oh, my… I don’t think I’ll be able to help you with that one,” she said, shaking her head. “If you’re not sure about the boy, I can’t do anything about that. You’re just going to have to find out for yourself then.”

Her mood quickly picked up, though.

“In the meantime, I suppose that means I don’t have to consider you in the running, then?” She asked cheerfully. “I was ready to support you if you were planning to have sex with him this week, but it looks like I don’t have to worry about that! Phew! Load off my shoulders!”

Morgana still couldn’t understand Rose very well. She just stared at the blonde and tried to make sense of everything.

While Rose interrogated Morgana and had her fun with the goth, Sylvia was still trying to recover from her experience on the ride.

“Ugh… I feel so miserable…” She complained. Just watching them spin around like that was making her feel sick again.

“Well, that sucks,” Kim said. She had sympathy for Sylvia, but only to a degree. “Maybe you should skip out the next one, then?”

“No,” Sylvia said, shaking her head adamantly. “I’m going to go on the ride with Daddy! And we’re going to have lots of fun together!”

Kim watched the resolute girl quietly. Then she sat down next to Sylvia on the bench, keeping an arm over her breasts. It was one thing to be topless in front of a lot of people. But somehow, showing her body off to just one person felt a little weird.

“I don’t think you’re earning yourself any favors by calling him ‘daddy’,” Kim replied.

“Huh?” Sylvia looked at her, confused. “What do you mean?”

“…Nothing, it’s just… I’ve been thinking about your relationship with Nick, that’s all,” Kim muttered, shaking her head. It hit a sore spot for her. “And he always shies away when you call him that. If you’re trying to appeal to him, wouldn’t it be better to do something else? I mean, look at me.” She waved her unoccupied hand at herself. “You tried to turn me into a slutty schoolgirl. But I bet that if I’d actually done what you wanted and embraced that, tried to play up the schoolgirl bit, Nick wouldn’t have liked that at all. And now we have a much stronger relationship, since I was being myself.”

“…That’s nice for you,” Sylvia said, certainly not sounding bitter at all. “But this is my responsibility. My role in the harem is Daughter. And unlike you girls, I’m not going to fight against what I’m supposed to be.”

Kim didn’t understand the blonde girl’s logic. “But… isn’t that what Dakota said? That all you do is play your role, without even thinking for yourself?”

“But I-!” Sylvia caught herself before she said anymore.

It was too late, though. Kim saw the desperation aching on her face. Her expression hardened.

“…So that’s it, then,” she said quietly. “I suspected, but… you DO want to play the role, don’t you? A part of you likes the idea of being Nick’s daughter.”

Sylvia started to shake. “I… I…!” She couldn’t say it. She couldn’t admit to what she was.

Then she felt Kim’s hand wrapped around her and pull her in for a sideways hug. Before Sylvia knew what was happening, her head was resting on the other girl’s bare shoulder.

“…I know what it’s like to have a piece of shit for a parent, too,” Kim said, putting words to the feelings Sylvia had been terrified to express. “I would have done anything to have a better father than the one I was born with.”

She had that now, of course. But she might never get the chance to see him again.

Rose is throwing her chips into the matter
