Chapter 291 by Exarch-of-Sechrima Exarch-of-Sechrima

Rose is throwing her chips into the matter

At Palisades in Salisbury park the roller coasters are flyin'

The bra cups spun to a stop, and everyone still riding got off. Morgana stumbled away, and for a second Nick dreaded that she was going to throw up. He’d been extra careful with the speed of his own cup to keep that from happening to Dawn, but he was afraid that whatever Rose had gotten up to, it hadn’t gone well.

But then, to his relief, Morgana straightened up. He got a closer look at her face as he passed by, and saw that her pale complexion looked a lot healthier. Well, as healthy as it could get, given who it belonged to, anyway.

“Morgana?” He asked, approaching her. “You feeling okay?”

“I-I’m fine,” Morgana nodded, and swallowed. “Rose made it go a little fast sometimes on accident, but she made sure to slow the cup down when it looked like I was going to be sick…”

“You know me!” Rose chirped, wrapping her arms around Morgana and pulling her into a big hug. She rubbed her cheek against the goth girl’s. “Always trying to look out for my friends, isn’t that right?”

Morgana turned as red as a raspberry and giggled in spite of herself. A crooked smile crossed her face that said that while she didn’t mind Rose’s actions, she had absolutely no idea how to properly respond to them.

“…Friends, huh?” He said, not sure what to make of that. “Well, if you say so.”

“How was your ride?” Morgana asked, turning to Dawn. She seemed **** to avoid the subject.

“It was fine, I guess,” Dawn said. Her cheeks were a little red.

“I saw the whole thing!” Sylvia giggled, skipping over to them. “Dawn scooted up super-close to Daddy, she was practically pressed right into his side!”

Dawn blushed and Rose smirked.

“Oh, is that right? I wasn’t paying attention to the two of you, but you were spending all that time getting hot and heavy?” The blonde tittered. “Way to go, Dawn, it looks like we have more in common than I thought!”

Dawn turned red and averted her eyes. “Sh-shush,” she stammered. “We didn’t do anything h-hot and heavy!”

“It was a nice time,” Nick said with a smile, trying to defuse the situation. “But I think we still have one more round to go.”

He turned to Sylvia, who perked up.

“Really, Daddy?!” She asked, sounding shocked. But her expression quickly shifted into a bright smile. “You… you want to go on the ride with me?”

“It’s only fair,” Nick replied, trying to keep a level head about this. “I went on the rides with the other girls, so it makes sense I go on it with you. If you can handle it, anyway. I don’t want you to throw up all over me if you’re not feeling up to it.”

“I-I can handle it!” Sylvia grabbed a bottle of water and sucked it down. “See? I’m totally fine! Don’t need to worry about me, Daddy!” She was practically bouncing on her feet, her eyes shining with excitement.

Dawn smiled, seeing the interaction between the two of them. It was clear that in spite of what Nick said, he really did care about Sylvia. This was a good opportunity for them to get closer to one another, and have some fun in a situation that didn’t require a ton of drama.

She reached out and tugged on Rose’s sleeve.

“Whoa, whoa, careful now?” Rose whispered, giving Dawn a side-eyed glance. “Not trying to pull off my shirt, are you?”

Dawn rolled her eyes. “Leave it alone for one second, Rose, could you do that?” She asked. She’d just been trying to tell Rose that maybe they should take a break and let them enjoy themselves.

“What about you guys?” Nick turned to the other girls. “Are you going on another ride?”

Morgana gulped and shook her head quickly. “N-no! I’m good!” She said a little too loudly. “I don’t want to throw up again!”

“Come on, Dawn and I wouldn’t do that!” Rose said. “…Well, uh, I mean, except that one time to Sylvia. Sorry about that,” she said, scratching her head sheepishly.

Sylvia just shrugged. “It’s cool. So are you girls going to join us?”

Morgana shook her head even quicker.

“I think I’m out too, frankly,” Dawn said. “I’m getting kind of burned out on the same thing over and over again.”

“What? So I’d have to go all by myself?” Rose complained. “That’s no fun!”

She had no intention of being the only girl in the bra cups besides Nick and Sylvia. That just sounded boring, and frankly kind of sad. Who was she, Dawn?

“I guess you two can go on your own,” she said to Nick, shrugging.

Nick nodded. He and Sylvia headed onto the ride, while Kim went to go start it up.

“They look like they’re having fun,” Rose noted with an amused smile.

“That they do,” Dawn nodded in agreement. She was smiling too, but she didn’t seem nearly as amused by the situation as Rose was.

I hope you enjoy yourself, Sylvia, Dawn thought. You deserve to have fun, too.

“Well, I don’t know about the rest of you,” she said, stretching, “but even I’m starting to have some trouble keeping the world from spinning around me. I could use a nice relaxing break.” She walked over to the benches and sat down, waiting for the world to settle down. Just because she wasn’t going to throw up, that didn’t mean she didn’t feel a little queasy.

I used to have such great balance, she thought glumly. I don’t like feeling dizzy and unsure of my footing! She didn’t pay attention to the fact that she was still walking with quite a bit of poise. Dawn still had it in spades.

“I feel just fine!” Rose said, plopping down beside the cat girl and lounging on the bench. “Maybe you’re just getting old!”

Dawn shot her a dirty look. Rose could really be a major pain.

“It’s okay,” Mary said, taking a few deep breaths. She stared at her reflection in the mirror. “It’s going to be fine… you can do this.”

More deep breaths.

“…Remember, it’s just a roller coaster!”

She walked out of the bathroom, taking care to make sure her shirt was tied. She’d been checking it every chance she got after what happened on the Ring Drop ride. Since Gina wasn’t giving up her jacket any time soon, this was the last chance she had to spend the day without going topless, and she was going to make the most of it.

“You good, Mary?” Dani asked as the redhead returned to the group.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” Mary said, forcing a smile onto her lips. “I just had to wash my face a little bit, that’s all. But I’m good.”

“I think you’re being too scared about all this,” Holly said, rolling her eyes. “Come on, Mary, it’s going to be fine! There’s nothing to worry about and you know it! Dakota wouldn’t let anything happen to us, so there’s no need to be worried!”

“She let something happen to my shirt,” Mary pointed out, not at all convinced by Holly’s zealous defense of the host. “And I’d rather not repeat that.”

“Plus, there’s nothing saying she won’t throw up,” Carly added.

Marley gave her a look.

“…What?!” Carly groaned. “Come on! I can’t be the only person who was thinking it! Morgana already barfed today!”

“Can we not talk about it!?” Mary wailed. The last thing she wanted to do was think about barfing right before she got on a roller coaster.

“I’m with Mary on this one, no talk about throwing up before the ride,” Dani requested. “Can we just go?”

She glanced warily at Carly, who quickly averted her eyes. The cosplayer had been doing that a lot, recently, Dani had noticed. She felt a little saddened by that, but decided not to push the issue any. If that’s how things were going to be between the two of them, who was she to say otherwise?

It didn’t mean she had to like the circumstances she found herself in, though. She was really hoping that she could repair the relationship.

“It’s going to be fine.”

Dani turned, surprised, to see Marley had come over to check up on her.

“Should you really be here?” Dani asked, glancing over at Carly. “You’re kind of close to the ten foot mark, aren’t you?”

“It’ll be fine,” Marley assured her, shaking her head. “Right now, I’m just trying to check in and make sure that YOU’RE doing okay. Well? Are you?”

“Yup,” Dani lied, forcing a smile to her lips. “I’m fine!”

Marley could tell that wasn’t the truth, but she didn’t press the question, either. It was a good thing, too, because contrary to her expectation, Dani’s anxious mood and general discomfort wasn’t due to the fact that Carly was ghosting her.

She was just getting sick and tired of all these rides that seemed overly sexualized. That wasn’t where she wanted to be, given how pent up she was.

“Come on, guys!” Gina was already standing at the gate leading to the ride. “Let’s get a move on, we’re wasting time!”

To Dani’s relief, the roller coaster actually looked like a fairly normal attraction. Nothing sexual had been added, as far as SHE could see. That was good, at least. The name of the ride had sure implied otherwise, though. The roller coaster was called “The Beast with Two Backs” which meant quite a specific something.

Once the girls got onto the platform, they could see why that is.

“Wait, we have to get in backwards!?” Mary exclaimed. “We’re going to do the whole ride backwards?! Seriously?!”

“That’s how it works,” Kim nodded in confirmation. “You can see why I didn’t want to go on this one when I went on my date with Nick. We stuck to the more traditional roller coaster. The park does have three of them, you know.”

“Yeah, but who cares about that?” Carly scoffed, waving her hand. “This is the one that I’m interested in, right, Marley? It seems like a real wild ride!”

“I won’t deny that,” Marley nodded in agreement. But the tone of her voice didn’t make it sound like she thought that was a good thing. “It’s definitely a wild ride, alright. You’re sure you can handle it, sis? Mary?”

“Come on, do you even have to ask?” Carly rolled her eyes. “I love amusement parks, and the roller coasters are the best part!”

“You can say that again!” Gina nodded in agreement.

The two ladies high-fived.

“…I think we’re looking at the start of quite an unholy alliance,” Marley commented dryly.

“You can say that again,” Mary sighed and nodded.

“You know, if you don’t want to go on this ride, you don’t have to,” Kim pointed out, looking anxiously at her friend. “If you’re not feeling up to it…”

“No!” Mary loudly protested, shaking her head. When Mary was adamant about something, there was little that anyone could do to discourage her. “I said I wanted to push myself, to do the kinds of fun things I would never do on my own. Well, this is a part of that! I need to show everyone that I can handle it!”

“Woo!” Carly whistled, nodding in approval. “That’s what I’m talking about, Mary! You’ve got this!”

Mary really hoped she did “got this”. She’d have to wait and work hard to prove whether or not she was right.

Which meant no throwing up. It also mean… having to make some sacrifices.

Mary eyed the storage cabinet warily and took a deep breath, before exhaling. She walked over to the shelves and untied her shirt, before dropping it into one of the cubbies.

The other girls were, to say the least, surprised by this little display.

“Whoa, Mary, you sure about that?” Dani asked, looking away out of politeness. Mary’s breasts were something else, alright, but she wasn’t the kind of girl who was going to stare.

“I’m sure that it’s a great idea,” Holly said, cracking a grin. “Kim, you agree with me, right?”

Kim had no comment. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat, crossing her arms over her breasts again just to make sure they were covered while the other girls looked at her.

“I certainly agree,” Carly said, smirking. “What’s that line again? Oh! #FreeTheNipple!”

“You guys are the worst!” Mary pouted like a child, stomping her foot. She was in the process of making sure she could cover her breasts with her arms. Given the sheer amount of titmeat she was working with, that was easier said than done. But at least she managed to hide her nipples. “It’s not like I’m doing this because I want to! I just need to keep this shirt safe!”

She glanced shyly at a touched Kim. “I don’t want to ruin it after you sacrificed it for me, so I need to take it off before I go on any rides that I might lose it.”

And given how poor of a job the shirt did at actually covering her breasts, those rides were practically the only ones that existed at this damn place, which didn’t exactly make Mary feel any better about her situation, that was for sure.

With a sigh, she walked over to the roller coaster, still shielding her chest, and took a seat right in the front. …Or the back? Well, whatever seat would give her the most exciting, blood-pumping experience on the ride.

She wasn’t sure she’d be able to handle this, but she’d certainly try.

“I appreciate the spirit!” Holly chirped. “In fact, I’m right there with you, Mary!” She quickly began undoing the few buttons that still remained on the top of her maid costume. After stripping it off, she tossed it into the bin as well. While her own breasts weren’t as impressive as Mary’s, she had lots of experience at carrying her petite figure, and looking positively adorable while doing it.

Mary stared at her friend, confused, as she sat down beside her on the roller coaster. It was a three-seater, and Mary had decided to sit right in the middle.

“…Why did you do that?” She asked, shaking her head incredulously. “You know, your costume comes with buttons, right?”

“Yeah, but… it’s more fun this way,” Holly replied with a sly smile. “What, don’t I look cute this way? I bet Dani thinks I look cute this way!”

She turned and batted her eyelashes at Dani, who just returned a warm smile her way.

“Yeah, uh… sorry, but you’re not my type,” Dani apologized. “But yes, you are very cute.”

Holly seemed happy enough to hear that.

“Sorry Holly, but Dani only likes big boobs,” Gina said snarkily. “You know, big chubbungas. Ain’t that right, Carly?”

Carly’s cheeks flushed and she glared at Gina. For a second, Marley wondered if this would be one of the few moments her sister lost her temper, but no, Carly was able to quickly reel it back in and smile at Gina instead.

“I don’t see her lusting after you, though,” she pointed out. “Guess she’s not a big fan of the punk aesthetic.”

Gina just shrugged. “You think I care?”

“Ahem.”

Kim cleared her throat. “Are we going to fire this ride off, or what?” She asked, tapping her wrist as if she was wearing a watch. “I don’t want to just watch you guys sit here and banter with each other all day, I’m splitting my focus you know.”

“Speaking of which, how are they doing?” Marley asked, wanting to get off the topic of Dani and Carly as fast as possible. “Are they having fun?”

Kim smiled. “Thinking about your mother, Marley?”

Marley blushed. “Well… a little bit,” she admitted.

“Aww, isn’t my sister just the cutest thing?” Carly hugged Marley from behind, nuzzling her cheek against her sister’s. “She’s still all worried for her mommy!”

“Sh-shut up! Get off!” Marley stammered, pushing Carly off of her. “Whatever! It’s fine! Let’s just get going already!”

She turned to get onto the roller coaster, only to see that Gina had beaten all of the other girls to the punch.

“You guys gonna sit?” Gina was sitting right next to Mary, wearing the biggest shit-eating grin on her face. “There are some open seats right there!”

She pointed to the next row on the roller coaster. Three seats, and three girls to fill them.

The two twins turned to Dani, whose face was slowly growing more red as she thought about the implications.

Kim could barely suppress the grin on her face.

“Come on, Dani, it’ll be fine!” Kim said, trying not to laugh. “Are you that afraid that you’re going to enjoy yourself?”

Carly immediately turned to Marley, and looked at her with a pleading expression. The silent insinuation didn’t need to be verbalized, her eyes said more than enough.

“PLEASE SIT IN THE MIDDLE!” Her eyes screamed at her sister.

Marley snorted in disgust and rolled her eyes. She was starting to get tired of being her sister’s keeper. “Solve your shit,” she muttered under her breath, soft enough for Carly to hear but not for Dani to overhear, and walked over to the roller coaster, getting into the farthest seat on the left.

Carly turned red. She glanced back at Dani, who looked just as awkward and uncomfortable as she did. Neither one knew what to do. Carly was half-tempted to go sit in an entirely different row, but that would have made her feel like an absolute cad. Whatever she felt for her friend, she didn’t want to complicate matters even more by making her suffer and feel rejected like that.

Carly wished she didn’t have these many troubles. She’d never had this much awkwardness with a guy before, not even Nick.

“Are you guys getting on?” Mary asked, frowning. “I worked up my nerves, and I’m only getting more anxious!”

Carly took a deep breath, exhaled, and then smiled. “Okay! No need to make a big deal out of it!” She said loudly, startling the blue-haired girl. “Come on, Dani!”

She turned on her heel and sat down on the other end of the row, leaving a space open in the middle. Then she patted the seat for Dani to sit down in.

The blue-haired girl’s face turned red.

“Re-really?” She stammered, taking a cautious step towards the roller coaster car.

“Sure, why not?” Carly shrugged, beaming up at her. “It’ll be fun!”

The real reason she wanted Dani to sit in the middle was because she hoped that if the tomboy was sandwiched between two gorgeous twins, she’d be so overwhelmed by stimulus that she wouldn’t focus on just Carly specifically.

It was the best way to keep things from getting too awkward.

Yeah sure it is
