Azure Report: Day 01

Azure's Log

This record details my findings and ongoing thoughts as the first day of my show, Harem Hotel: Payback Edition, ends.

The pre-recorded announcement of the podcast also just aired. It's such an idiotic idea. I still don't understand why the higher-ups insisted upon it. They should do pointless experiments during someone else's season, not mine.

Still, the fact that the show is relegated to dream space only should be OK with my plans. It's just a waste of time I could be spending elsewhere.

In any case, the following are my top-of-mind reflections.

Opening Ceremony:

We achieved the transportation of all participants without incident. Also, with one exception, the cast introductions went to expectations, if not exceeded. For example, Kaitlyn’s lack of underwear was a happy accident that helped the atmosphere.

Special mention should also be given to John Booker, who behaved as anticipated and beyond. The way he dislocated Levi's jaw aided in garnering sympathy for the master and providing catharsis once he was punished.

To further allow the audience to delight in Johns's misfortune, I have implemented subtitles for Johns's inner thoughts in scenes with Jezebel. I am not sure if future eliminations will also have this audience conceit.

The opening only really had two setbacks. One involves Alison's actions, which I will discuss shortly, and the other is the number of ties in the voting process. In short, they were far too numerous to be a coincidence. I have requested several of my tralls to investigate and take action to prevent it from happening again. Though I have yet to decide, I may even reduce the threshold to tie down from 1.5% if necessary.

Regarding the Master:

Levi's mental issues seem more severe than anticipated, and my estimations were already low. I had to increase the strength of my calming magic to keep him from having a mental breakdown at the sight of Ji-Woo. I do not regret my decision in his selection, however, as I still have confidence in his test results among the other host candidates (See MCaS Trials 108)

It will be a delicate balancing act to help mentor his more selfish and perverse desires without robbing him of his agency. I hope that Ji-Woo's subservient secretary position will allow him to foster and vent his more depraved, and hopefully sadistic, feelings upon her.

As I write this, Elena and Levi are still technically on their date. Though both have retired to bed, Levi's virginity is still unclaimed.

Both showed tremendous openness and vulnerability during the first half of their night. Elena, in particular, achieved his forgiveness within the first hour. While it was always anticipated Levi would have the most substantial connection with Elena, at least initially, his forgiveness of her happened sooner than I would have liked.

I likely overestimated his ability to hold a grudge. Or perhaps their initial bond was stronger then I thought. A third option is that Levi’s desperation for a source of support in a stressful situation overshadowed his past feelings of abandonment.

In any case, I am confident that the Peterson twins, Tomoko and especially Ji-Woo, will not have as easy a time getting forgiven.

Of course Sophia and Olivia, both possessing a Level of Harm of zero, will not have to concern themselves with this.

As an aside, I am most interested to see how these two outsiders interact with him, their lack of history leaving them as wildcards.

Back to the date, things took a turn when the night version of Elena's transformation kicked in.

Despite Elena offering herself on a silver platter, he could not commit and ultimately became too intimidated by her Amazon-induced rage to function.

While I could make various theories about why he resisted her advances, ranging from intimidation to self-doubt, I will need to see how he interacts with the other girls to make a solid comparison.

Still, if his virgin status has not been claimed by the evening of day 3, I may need to implement more drastic measures. We're not in a situation where a Colt scenario seems likely, but it doesn't hurt to be cautious.

Regarding Alison:

As a final note, I am rapidly determining that the bringing in of Alison was a mistake. While I could tolerate her snide sarcasm off camera, she has shown disrespect to me in front of the contestants and audience. Though she hides it under a veil of passive aggressiveness and double meanings that allow it to technically not be an insult, it is obvious to everyone what she is doing.

Worst of all, however, she revealed private information about the show to a contestant—specifically, the true reasoning behind my selection of Sophia.

While this is not necessarily an essential secret and most certainly would have been guessed by the contestants, the fact that she feels comfortable spreading information makes me worry that she might reveal ACTUAL vital secrets.

I took her aside and clarified what she could not say, which I hope will prevent such slips. For the most part, she has obeyed direct orders despite not being magically bound to do so. However, I will keep things close to my chest now.

Speaking of the chest, as a personal aside, in the future, I will practice moving with giant boobs before I start hosting rather than enchanting them an hour before filming.

Unfortunately, removing Alison at this point would reflect poorly upon the show, especially after showcasing her promptly in the marketing and the promo we did on Bimbo or Billionaire.

Still, next time, I will look elsewhere for my stunt casting. Perhaps one of the former hosts. However, dealing with one of them would be far worse now that I think about it. Their egos make them unable to follow my creative vision, as they lack my own modesty. Scratch that idea.

Conclusion

Despite these setbacks, the season is off to an excellent start, and I am fully set on my path. I look forward to the first full day tomorrow.
