Attack

Deciding the best form of caution is eliminating any threat, you attack. You flick your knife at it, hoping that’ll be all that’s needed. Instead, the knife penetrates the outer layer of the clear blue slime, then slows down rapidly, until it just floats in the middle. The slime pulses, then rushes quickly at you, now ready to attack. Shit, maybe a big enough slash will work? You take your dagger and lunge, slashing hard. The bit you cut does slice, but the slime doesn’t seem to care, large enough that it simply continues rolling forward at you, and before you can slash again it’s begun to engulf you, stretching up along your limbs to bind you.
