Astonished

You're stunned. You never thought that your little frozen backwater of a village could attract someone like Alex. "My village? Seriously?" you ask in an astonished voice. He nods, becoming slightly amused at your surprise. "Whoa, wait! How come I've never seen you before?" "Kinda obvious, when you think about it, isn't it?"

Indeed it is. Fairies are kind and generous to strangers, but they don't like interlopers. If Alex wanted to stay he had to fill a specific role, and that role was to be a nurse. Although your tribe wasn't affluent by any standards, their magic was good enough for most ailments, so a nurse would only rarely be needed, which meant that Alex would have spent most of his time working at the hospital. So it was fully possible for a scatterbrained ten-year-old to completely miss a stranger coming and going at infrequent intervals.

While you contemplate all this, Alex continues, "Well, that's the reason I took an interest in you." you raise an eyebrow at this and he continues, "What? You think I stick my fingers up a total stranger's ass just for laughs?" "Yeah." you respond, annoyed as you look away from him.

After a pause, Alex rubs his thighs and straightens up, "Anyways... Story time's over for today. It's time you got dressed." You had completely forgotten that you were still naked and you hurriedly throw on your clothes while Alex waits for you by the door. Once you're dressed he escorts you in silence to the main door. Once there, your voice suddenly chokes and you can't exchange the usual parting pleasantries.

"Well, good luck." He says proffering a friendly hand. You look at it dumbly. Somewhere in the back of your head you know you want to slap it away. You know that you want a lot more than a handshake from that gorgeous goon. But instead of works and a slap, you just produce a weird gurgling sound and limply hold two of his warm fingers.
