Assume Role: Twin

Having decided that she wanted to try out some more functions of the remote, Ash aimed it once again at Iris as she walked a few feet behind her. Now only having to decide on the button she wanted to test, she ended up picking a button that sat in the "Assume-Role-Category". In this category, the buttons weren't distinguished by color, but instead by the symbol that was printed on each of them, the one she had chosen sporting a symbol of two seemingly identical figures. Eager to see the result, Ash pressed the button.

Immediately, Ash felt a stark difference to just a moment earlier. Looking down at herself once more, she saw that her outfit had been replaced by an exact copy of Iris' outfit, only with the colors changed to those of her original outfit. Her version of Iris' top replaced the cream color with a bright white while the cuffs were a light blue instead of pink. Her puffy miniskirt was the same light blue as her top's cuffs while her leggings retained Iris' original white coloration, only having the end colored black instead of yellow. The bangles, which now tied her hair into Iris' no-longer unique hairstyle, similarly had their yellow color changed into black. Finally, the versions of Iris' flat, sockless shoes that now covered her feet, like the rest of her outfit, had their pink and yellow coloration exchanged for light blue and black respectively.

Just as Ash was about to question the exact extent of the change she had just performed, Iris spoke up in front of her. "Hey Sis, I think I can already see the Pokémon-Center over there."

'Sis? So I just turned myself into Iris' sister? That's so cool!' Ash thought to herself before looking back up and reacting to what her now sister said. "Ah, you're right, we're finally there."

"And just in time. See? It's already getting dark," Iris said, pointing to the sun slowly setting over the treeline. "I can't wait to get a good rest in our room later. What about you, Ashley?"

"Yeah, me too. Let's get inside, shall we?" Ash replied as they walked the final steps before entering the Pokémon-Center.

Once inside, the two of them quickly got themselves a room key for the night from Nurse Joy and headed upstairs to the floor with the guest rooms. It didn't take long for them to find their room and they soon found themselves sitting on their beds. The new twins chatted for a while, allowing Ash to covertly gather information on this current reality, and why the two sisters from Unova were currently in Kanto. While in the original reality, the two of them were going to visit Ash's now former mother, in this reality, the main goals on this journey were for Ash to take on the Kanto Gyms and the Indigo League, while Iris wanted to train and challenge Lance, the dragon specialist and member of the Kanto Elite Four, on her path to become a Dragon Master. They had still sent their respective starter Pokémon to Professor Oak in this reality, however, while Iris still had her Axew, Ash now being her twin from the Dragon Village in Unova meant that she had started her journey with a Deino instead of Pikachu.

As it got progressively later, Ash pondered what she should do. Sure, she could just call it a day and head to bed, but she could also continue experimenting with the remote. Her new twin sister was still available as a test subject, but she could also head back down into the lobby and try the remote on someone else. A certain nurse would probably provide some very interesting results.
