Ask about the bar

You know you’ve heard the bar ‘the Knotty Dragon’, in fact you are pretty sure your mentor had gone there a few times. Still, you didn’t know they had a training area or arena to host any fighting. You bring the paper up to receptionist to ask.

“Oh yes. The guild has patterned up with the knotty dragon, as their owner arranged a nice training ground. They set up a fighting pit with magical wards so no physical damage will happen inside, it’ll just be converted to stamina damage. Our adventurers get training fighting captured beasts or each other, and the bar get to make money on bets. Also allows capable fighters to get their name out too.”

All that sounded legitimate enough, yet you couldn’t shake the feeling there was something else weird going on. Still, between the pay, rep gain, and safety, you decided to go check it out. The bar isn’t far away, a few blocks with the entrance in an alley. You walk in to see what at first looks a typical tavern, minus the large fighting cage in the back. But you notice a very different atmosphere than expected. This place have an air not of **** combat sports, but something seedier and more sexual. Maybe it was the waitresses in skimpy outfits, looking more sex servant than server. Maybe it was the guests in a mix of leather and silks, some masked and some freely exposed. Behind the bar was a large blackboard, with odds on upcoming fight, though currently the only listed is ‘paladin Charolette vs goblin trio’ with odds favoring the trio ironically 3 to 1. Cleaning a glass underneath the board was a tall Dragonborn woman, her midnight black scales shining next to the red leather corset. She sees you approach obviously out of your depts. “my my, what’s this cute little kitty in my bar? Welcome to the Knotty dragon! Here to fight? Your cute enough I’d offer you work as a server here too.”
