Ashley Tries To Complete Her Plan

Zack stormed through the woods for nearly twenty minutes, not stopping once, Ashley followed behind, not saying a word, letting him work through his emotions. She didn't like seeing him in such pain and anger, but she continued to tell herself, This is for the best, it had to end, it had to... Zack stopped in place, his head lowered before glancing back, finally noticing the blonde, "Ash, go away," He said, trying to be firm but not angry. Still, the snap from him made Ashley startle,

"No," Ashley replied, showing genuine concern, "Not until I know you're okay,"

Zack turned away again and started to walk once more, not furiously, he merely trotted. Ashley nearly welled up; he looked so broken. She pursed her lips and began to follow him again, still keeping a few paces behind his steps. After another ten minutes, Zack reached a shoreline, an almost bitter look came over him, and he began to walk down to the beach. Ashley, now confused watched as he made it halfway before sitting down. She watched for a minute before walking down and sitting down next to Zack, "Why here?" She softly asked,

"Chloe and I were here yesterday," Zack dryly replied, "We spent the whole day on this beach."

"Oh," Ashley nodded slowly, "Zack, I really am sorry,"

"Yeah, me too," He agreed with seemingly no emotion left within him,

"Maybe...maybe this was for the best?" Ashley said as she lightly put a hand on his back, "Maybe you're better without her,"

Zack tilted his head, taking in Ashley's words, swallowing them, digesting them for a long time, "No..." He weakly said, his voice breaking, "I love her,"

"I know you loved her-" Ashley softly replied,

"No, I love her, Ashley" Zack interrupted, "And she said she loved me too, it just...it doesn't make any sense. Why would she do that to me?"

"I don't know; I can't imagine even begin to imagine why," Ashley said, a small irritation growing in the back of her head, "But she wasn't loyal to you Zack! You don't need someone like that in your life; you deserve better!"

Zack glanced over to Ashley, who was intently staring at him, "Ash, I-"

Ashley quickly cut him off by pushing her lips against his, Zack's eyes bugged out as she pushed her tongue into her mouth needfully. The kiss lasted for a few moments before Zack got over the shock and pushed Ashley back from him, "W-what?" Ashley weakly asked,

"Ashley, I...I don't want you like that, especially not now." Zack said, almost bewildered by her sudden **** on him,

"Zack it's okay," Ashley purred back as she gripped onto his shirt, "You don't have to think about anything or do anything, I can handle it."

"Ashley, no," Zack said a bit rougher this time while scooting away from her, "Enough, seriously,"

"Why?!" She shouted out causing Zack to jump, "What's Chloe got that I don't?! Why are you still rejecting me even after she blew Kurt!?"

"Blew Kurt?" Zack repeated to himself while narrowing his eyes,

"Yeah Zack, did you forget that already?! Your great girlfriend blew Kurt Johnson a half an hour ago!" She snapped back,

"I thought you said they fucked," Zack replied, his jaw locking,

"I-um, did I say that?" Ashley mumbled back, her eyes going a bit wide, "W-Well, it's not like it's any different,"

"No, it is, especially when you were the only one who apparently saw this!" Zack barked back. His eyes suddenly grew wide with anger, "Ashley, did you even fucking see them?" He hissed out,

"Y-yeah," Ashley weakly lied, "Of course I did,"

Zack pursed his lips, nearly looking revolted at her sight, "You...You're fucking lying," He sharply said, "You didn't even see them, you just told me...why would you do that?!"

"Because Zack, you and I should be together!" Ashley finally exclaimed causing Zack to stand up, "Chloe isn't good enough for you, I can be everything you need!" Zack stared at her, shaking his head slowly before quickly turning around and sprinting off the beach back towards camp. Ashley watched him for a moment in shock before jumping up and following him, trying to catch up and explain herself.
