Victoria and Gavin Try And Support Chloe

Chloe stood watching as Zack stormed away, her heart breaking with each step, before completely snapping in two as Ashley followed. In the strangest of ways she wasn't crying, instead she was numb, she wasn't even able to think of anything at all. Everyone continued to stare at her in shock, even Kurt couldn't help but feel a bit concerned, sure he had seen girls get broken up with but the way Chloe was just staring off, it was very chilling.

Victoria and Gavin were the ones to approach her after a minute, Heather and Brandon had no idea what to say, and Kurt knew to keep his distance for once. "Chloe?" Victoria tentatively asked, "Chloe, sweetie, say something."

"Chloe...are you alright?" Gavin asked as he lightly reached out and put a hand on his friend's shoulder,

"He didn't...I didn't..." Chloe softly said while continued to look where she last saw Zack,

"Of course you didn't," Victoria immediately said while putting an arm around Chloe, "I know you didn't Chloe, it was-" Victoria started to say but quickly stopped herself, looking at Gavin, "Gav, could you give us a minute?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah, sure...just give me a call if you need anything," Gavin quickly agreed and turned around, he paused and glanced back, "That goes for you too Chloe, if you need anything,"

Victoria gave him a thankful smile then carefully lead Chloe to her tent, as the two woman entered the tent Chloe slowly panned around and as soon as her eyes landed on Zack's clothes, she burst into tears. "Oh, Chloe," Victoria softly whispered while throwing her eyes around the crying girl,

"It was Ashley," Chloe said through choked breaths, "I didn't, I didn't!"

"I know, I know, ssh, ssh," Victoria said while kneeling down with Chloe, "It's going to be alright,"

Chloe began to cry even harder, burying her face in Victoria's shoulder, "No, Ashley won, it's over," She whimpered through broken short breaths,

"That's not true, you know it's not," Victoria instantly replied, though her words were unable to break through to Chloe,

"It's my fault, it's all my fault!" Chloe yelled out into Victoria's arm, "I should have told him, I waited too long, he's probably fucking her right now!"

"No Chloe, that's not true, Zack wouldn't do that," Victoria replied, hoping it was the truth,

Chloe started taking deep breaths, sniffling while she finally broke off her hug, "Vicky...I need...I need to be alone," Chloe said while wiping her face. Victoria looked back at Chloe, not wanting to leave her, "Please," Chloe begged,

Victoria let out a very soft nod, "You need me I'll be right outside, okay?" Chloe nodded back, Victoria gave her a final tight hug and got up, walking out of the tent.

Chloe slowly crawled up to her sleeping bag and curled up, her crying slowing until it once again disappeared completely. The numbness she once felt returned to her, though this time all her mind could think of was Ashley and Zack, that they'd soon be together. Zack couldn't even talk to her, hell he told her that he couldn't even look at her. The next time she saw him, Chloe knew that Zack wouldn't believe her, how could he? It'd just be her word against Ashley, and Ashley had made her word mean nothing.

Chloe continued to spiral down this dark train of thought for minutes, assuring herself that it was indeed over with Zack, that she had failed to keep him and worst yet, lost him as a friend. Her eyes squeezed shut, forcing out a few more tears as this realization dawned on her. Twenty minutes had passed before she heard someone enter her tent.
