Arriving in your new life

Once your sight had returned to normal you found yourself alone in an alley way. The only clue you were no longer in Japan was your own clothing. It was like someone tried to make a business suit that could be worn in a motorbike race. The inside was regular fabric but the outside was made from something that looked and felt like a car's tire except that it was extremely thin with red highlights and somehow flexed at your joints while remaining hard everywhere else.

You searched for anything useful in your pockets and found a smart phone in your jacket along with a set of earphones to go along with it. The phone unlocked itself saying something about your "Biometric ID" as soon as you touched the home button. The apps on it looked almost normal. Phone/video chat, a web browser, SMS and e-mail had been merged together, the normal camera and something like a Bitcoin wallet with some money in it. What stood out was an app called "Mech Remote". You excitedly opened it only to find that you don't own a mech suit.

With nothing else to do you walked out of the dim, dusty alley and into a busy downtown intersection. The first thing to strike you was just as the goddess said women did indeed outnumber men five-to-one and to make it better most of them were cute!

There were groups of teenage girls (a little younger than you) heading to school together, lots of office ladies (a little older than you) marching to their offices and even a group of three hot mums herding a large tribe of children someplace. You suppose in a harem world motherhood is a team effort.

A series of thunderous sounds draws your attention down a street on the far side of the intersection. A small team in mech suits are stomping around a construction site forcing foundation columns into the earth. You watch in amazement for a couple of minutes before noticing something in the sky. Flying just above the rising sun is a fortress shaped like a castle atop a carrier ship.
