Arriving at The Office

Debbi could remember more embarrassing incidents with a higher level of exposure but the embarrassment caused by this outfit went on and on and lasted all day.

She made it from the house to Carol's car without incident but because they were late, the only available slot in the staff car park was right at the far end and she had to walk the entire length of the building past all the offices, where she could see curious eyes looking out. As they entered reception, Patty the receptionist stopped her and asked her to sign for some packages that had been delivered, delaying her and providing visitors who were seated waiting to be met by their hosts with enticing views of her bum cheeks. This seemed to set the pattern for the day.

Her progress across the open plan office that housed her team caused the predictable stir and provoked the expected questions. "I'll explain later" Carol shouted to everyone as she shepherded Debbi into her office. There was nothing that Debbi would have liked better than to spend the entire day working quietly in the relative privacy of her office but for a start there was the presentation she had to give. "How can I give a presentation like this ?" she complained to Carol. "Grit your teeth and go for it" her assistant replied. "Most of the people who are going to be there were there last night and know what happened" she reasoned. "Look, people are naturally going to be curious about why you're dressed as you are" Carol continued. "You don't say ?" interrupted Debbi sarcastically. "So why don't I send out a circular email to everyone explaining ?" Carol suggested.

Before Debbi could agree or disagree, Jeff entered the office. "All set ?" he enquired. "Not exactly" said Debbi. "Look !" and she stood up from behind her desk. "Bloody hell" her boss exclaimed. "Quite" said Debbi. "They're the only spare clothes we had" Carol lied. "I don't suppose I could use the company credit card to run out quick and buy a replacement outfit ?" wondered Debbi, who had been thinking about this possibility. But before Jeff could make a decision on that, Diane burst into the room. Aditty had alerted her to Debbi's arrival and to her state of dress and Diane intended to make the most of it. "I've been sent to fetch you, they're all waiting for you in the board room and the Japs have a plane to catch remember !"
