Appeal to his generous nature

Thinking quickly, you say, “Look, Bro, I know what you were doing, but here’s the deal....”

You then explain how you happened to be in just the right place at just the right time to arrange for Sarah to move in right next to you. You also explain about learning about her “condition” and taking the initiative about her medication.

“So I know I just interrupted as things were starting to get interesting between the two of you, but as you can see, I’ve got too much invested in this not to see it through.” You look at him, hopefully, desperately wanting him to see things your way.

As you explain, Rodney’s expression changes from anger to disbelief to delight. “Dude, I have to hand it to you. You are either totally out of your mind, or you are a world-class genius! Either way, you deserve a chance to score with her or have her serve you your balls for breakfast.” He slaps you on the back — a little harder than what you were expecting, but considering the alternatives, you are grateful he chose that form of physical contact, rather than a punch in the face.

“Just do me one favor,” says Rodney. “Let me know how it works out. If she doesn’t go for you, I’d still like to score with her. And who knows.... maybe she’ll be more than you can handle, and you’ll need some backup?”

You promise Rodney that you’ll keep in touch. After seeing him safely on his way, you return to your room, rubbing your hands together in excitement.

Sarah is in her room, unpacking, and the doors to the bathroom are open, allowing you to see right into her room.
