Apparel

It is said that the clothes make the man. How the character is dressed can tell you a lot about the character. A prim and proper lady will wear the finest clothes and will be very conservative while a woman from the other side of the tracks will not mind showing a little skin.

Sheer Fabric

A semi-transparent and flimsy cloth.

Chiffon
A lightweight, balanced plain-woven sheer fabric silk or rayon fabric. Chiffon is most commonly used in evening wear, especially as an overlay, for giving an elegant and floating appearance to the gown. It is also a popular fabric used in blouses, ribbons, scarves and lingerie.

Crochet
Needlework made by looping thread with a hooked needle.

Denier
A unit of weight which indicates the fineness of fiber or yarn, equal to one gram per 9000 meters, used especially to measure or indicate the fineness of hosiery.

Fishnet
A fabric with an open diamond-shaped structure; normally used for stockings etc.

Gauze
A very light, sheer, fine woven fabric.

Georgette
A sheer, lightweight, dull-finished crepe fabric.

Gossamer
A gossamer is a very light, sheer, gauze-like fabric, popular for white wedding dresses and decorations.

Lace
A light fabric containing patterns of holes, usually built up from a single thread

Latex
Latex rubber as a clothing material is common in fetish fashion. May be see through.

Leather
A tough material produced from the skin of animals, by tanning or similar process.

Mesh
A fabric that has a large number of closely spaced holes, such as is common practice for modern sports jerseys. Any knit, woven, or knotted fabric of open texture.

Muslin
Fabric made of cotton, flax (linen), hemp, or silk, finely or coarsely woven.

Nylon
Nylon is a synthetic polymer, a plastic. Nylon fibres are used to make many synthetic fabrics and women's stockings.

Rayon
Rayon is a transparent fiber made of processed cellulose.

Satin
A Satin is a cloth that typically has a glossy surface and a dull back

Silk
a natural protein fiber that can be woven into textiles. It is prized for its shimmering appearance.
