Asymmetrical Hem
Longer on one side then the other

Ball Gown
A formal gown to be worn by women to balls and similar social events.

Blouson
A garment drawn tight at the waist with blousing hanging over the waistband

Cocktail Gown
A woman's dress worn at cocktail parties and semi-formal or "black tie" occasions.

Corset Dress
A strapless dress with a built in corset.

Cowl Dress
A dress with a loose material around the neckline. May have a plunging neckline to show off the breast.

Crisscross Dress
A style of halter top wear the straps run across each other.

Cut Out Dress
A dress with a section or sections cut out of it. May be plain or have sheer fabric underneath to keep the dress snug on the body.

Evening Gown
a long flowing women's dress or gown usually worn to a formal affair. It ranges from tea and ballerina to full-length.

Halter Dress
A usually backless dress with straps that run around the back of the neck. May show off the sides of the breast.

Hobble Dress
A dress that is tight around the legs limiting movement. Morticia Adams wore these kinds of dresses.

House Dress
A type of simple dress worn informally in the mornings at home for household chores or for quick errands.

Jumper dress
a sleeveless, collarless dress intended to be worn over a blouse, shirt or sweater.

Keyhole Dress
A dress with one or more sections cut out to show the skin underneath. My be plain or have a sheer material.

Lace Dress
A dress with sections of it made of lace to show off the skin underneath. May also be completely lace but typically has detailed designs to hide the nipples and crotch.

Kimono
a Japanese traditional garment worn during important festival or formal moments, it is the representative of polite and a very formal clothing.

Keyhole Dress
A dress with a section between the breast cut out to show off the breast. May be bare or have a sheer material.

Maxi Dress
A long dress that is either ankle or full length.

Mini Dress
A dress that is typically mid-thigh length.

One Shoulder Dress
A dress that hangs off one shoulder.

Open Shoulder
A sleeved dress with the shoulders cut out.

Pencil Dress
Tight fitting knee length dress.

Plunge Dress
Any kind of dress where the neckline plunges to just below the breast or to the navel. May or may not have a sheer material in place.

Peplum
A dress with ruffles around the waist.

Printed Dress
A dress with patterns on it. Typically for more casual dresses.

Sailor Dress
A child's or woman's dress that follows the styling of the sailor suit, particularly the bodice and collar treatment.

Sheath
A type of dress designed to fit close to the body, relatively unadorned. Typically thigh to knee length.

Shift
A garment that features straight lines and doesn’t hug the body’s curves or cinch the waist.

Shirtdress
a style of dress that borrows details from a man's shirt. These can include a collar, a button front, or cuffed sleeves. Often, these dresses are made up in crisp fabrics including cotton or silk, much like a men's dress shirt would be.

Slip Dress
a woman's dress that closely resembles an underslip or petticoat.[1] It is traditionally cut on the bias, with spaghetti straps.

Slit Dress
A dress with one or more slits cut into the side that run up to the thigh to allow freedom of movement as well show off the leg. Typically slit on the sides but may be front or back slit.

Samba Dress
A type of decorative dance dress.

Strapless
A dress with no straps.

Sweater Dress
A dress that looks like a sweater but runs down to the thighs. Typically worn in winter.

Sun Dress
a dress intended to be worn in warm weather. Typically, it is an informal or casual dress in a lightweight fabric, most commonly cotton, and usually loose fitting.

Surplice Neckline
are similar to how a bathrobe's neckline is formed by one side of the garment overlapping the other.

Tank Dress
Resembles a really long tank top.

Tea Gown
a woman's at-home dress for informal entertaining which became popular around the mid 19th century characterized by unstructured lines and light fabrics.

Tube Dress
A really tight strapless dress that resembles a long tube top that can be anywhere from thigh length to ankle length.

Tunic Dress
A type of garment for the body, usually simple in style, reaching from the shoulders to a length somewhere between the thighs.

V Neck
A dress with the neckline in a V shape to show off the breast.

Wedding
An elegant dress that is normally worn at weddings by the bride.

Wrap Dress
a dress with a front closure formed by wrapping one side across the other, and knotting the attached ties that wrap around the back at the waist or fastening buttons.

Men's Wear

Suit
A set of garments made from the same cloth, usually consisting of at least a jacket and trousers though may have a waist coat as well. Accessories for suits include neckties, shoes, wrist- and pocket watches, pocket squares, cuff links, tie tacks, tie bars, bow ties and hats.
