Another uninvited guest appeared and help you and your female companion out.

As the Radscorpions are circling around the tree and waiting for either you or the young woman to fall down from the branches, they completely failed to notice that something else is also targeting them.

Suddenly, a giant chameleon-like anole lizard at the size of a crocodile jumped out from the tall grasses and snatch one of the Radscorpions by its tail and gobble it down easily with its powerful jaws!

Upon seeing one of their own gets eaten, the other two Radscorpions quickly flee the scene since they have no interests of becoming foods themselves. You and Brittany looked down with eyes wide as eggs after seeing the uninvited guest appeared out of nowhere and accidentally saved their lives.

"Cuban false chameleon on the mainland?! And how can such a creature get to this size and how did this one even get here..." - You think as you are staring at the giant reptile down below.

Then, the giant chameleon-like anole sees them when its moved its eyes upward but instead of trying to go after them, it simply stared at them with curiosity.

"Aw! Isn't it a cute one?" Brittany asked rhetorically before jumping down from the branches before you can warn her to not to and offering the giant reptile a piece of grilled meat from her meal last night. The giant chameleon-like anole looked at the grilled meat for a moment before eating it and gobble it down. Then, it proceeded to lick the young woman like how a dog licked the face of its owner.

After seeing that the new guest that just saved them means no harm to you or Brittany, you jumped down from the branches and rejoin your female companion as she is playing with her new reptilian friend as if it is a dog.

"Now that the danger is no more, I suggested we continued our journey." You said and upon hearing that, the short brown-haired girl bids farewell to the giant reptile that just saved you and her.

But then, it started following you and Brittany like an actual dog following someone who is its owner. And neither you or her know about that at the moment.

Roughly an hour later, you and your female friend are now outside of the tall grasses and into the open plains part of the steppe. From where you and Brittany stand, the big river can be seen by both of you. However, it is not the only thing you and her see. On the other riverbank, a giant snapping turtle with a tail similar to that of a crocodile and lily pad-shaped shell is basking in the Sun on the shore and nearby is the crushed remains of a giant blue crustacean, clearly the remnants of its meal.

"Normally, the common snapping turtles like to avoid humans. But for the one this big, I actually have no idea..." - You think as you are wondering should you and Brittany set up a camp here by the river or should you and her move up north a little further to be away from this giant snapping turtle that is resting on the riverbank on the other side.
