Anna's Second Shift

After a morning exploring the city Anna returned to the tavern. Gideon gave her a wave when she entered. "Hey Anna, ready for you next shift?"

"Yeah, ready for day two."

Anna got changed into her new clothes and admired herself in the mirror. Her skirt and shirt combo was simple but pretty. She glanced over at the barmaid outfit she'd worn yesterday. It looked tiny on the chair. Anna stowed it away under her bed.

Heading downstairs she started her shift.

The day was slower than the day before. The room was slowly filling up. Anna recognised a couple of the faces. The afternoon weared on as she filled mugs with ale. Already she felt a bit more confident leaving the bar to collect glasses and clean the tables.

"Hey there gorgeous, what time do get off work?" A large man winked at her. Anna rolled her eyes and walked away, returning to the bar.

A thought struck her... that was the first comment she had gotten all night. She glanced at the tip jar, it contained a couple of silver, nothing more. 'Why was she not getting the tips she got last night?' She wondered to herself.

She heard a jingle of coins and Anna glanced at the tip jar. Her eyes widened, a whole gold coin had been dropped in there. Shocked Anna looked over at the man who was sheepishly walking away, immediately Anna recognised him, it was the man who'd climbed the tree outside her window to look at her naked! Anna quickly grabbed the coin from the jar so it didn't get stolen.

The realisation about how Anna was going to have to make money in this tavern was beginning to dawn on her. She got less tips today because she wasn't dressed like a slut and the only big tip she got was from the man who had perved on her.

Anna sighed. She could go upstairs and put on her skimpy barmaid outfit. Or she could make do with the lower income, and find some other way to make up her 100 gold debt.
